I’ve always loved animals and have grown up around pets. When I was a child, I had a Dachshund, and my family has always had cats, so I’ve been comfortable around dogs and cats from a young age. I’ve also had experience caring for rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals, so I’m comfortable looking after a variety of pets.

I currently live with Kuma, my friendly male Greyhound and retired racer. He is very affectionate and loves people. We also have two primary school-aged children, so Kuma is very comfortable around children. Although we have children, we keep small toys and other small items safely stored away in plastic containers, so they are out of pets’ reach.

We live in a house with a large, fully fenced backyard, giving dogs plenty of safe outdoor space to relax and explore. I regularly maintain the lawn and garden and make sure there are no plants or other hazards that could be harmful to dogs.

I’m home most of the day, except when I’m taking my children to and from school, so pets staying with me can have plenty of supervision and company. Kuma gets a one-hour walk every day, and I’m very comfortable walking dogs of all sizes and breeds. For dog-walking services, I walk the client’s dog separately from Kuma so I can give them my full attention. I usually walk around my local neighbourhood and nearby parks, adjusting the route to suit each dog’s needs and energy level.

I offer dog walking, daycare, overnight stays and home visits. Daycare and overnight stays at my home are available for large dogs only, as Kuma is most comfortable with larger dogs. 

Dogs staying overnight or for daycare should be comfortable toileting outside, as I only have outdoor toilet facilities.

During daycare and boarding, pets are supervised throughout the day and have access to our secure, fully fenced backyard. We also have a dog gate in the dining area, so Kuma and visiting dogs can be kept separate during mealtimes. We have extra rooms available as well, so if a dog wants some quiet time or prefers to be alone, they have a separate space where they can relax. Kuma can react to cats and is not suitable for living with small dogs.

For home visits, I can care for dogs, cats and small animals, including rodents. Visits can include feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter trays or enclosures, and spending time with your pets so they don’t feel lonely.
