Hi, I’m Jen — a reliable, caring Hillarys local, lifelong animal lover, local travel agent and small business owner. I work on a flexible hybrid schedule, which allows me to provide dependable pet visits and home check-ins throughout the week.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life and our home. After losing our beloved family dog a couple of years ago, I realised how much I miss having dogs around, which is one of the reasons I enjoy offering dog walks and pet visits while not quite being ready for another puppy of our own just yet.

I’m a single mum to my seven-year-old son Jude, who is also a huge animal lover, so caring for pets feels very natural to us. Alongside our own cats, stick insects and hermit crabs, we love all kinds of animals and genuinely enjoy spending time with them.

I offer home visits for cats, dogs and small animals, including feeding, fresh water, companionship, litter or cage cleaning, bringing in mail, watering plants and general home check-ins while you’re away. I especially love cats and small animals, and I’m also comfortable caring for rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, mice, rats, hamsters and other pocket pets or exotic pets.

I understand every pet has their own personality, routine and comfort level, and I always aim to make visits feel calm, familiar and stress-free — especially for shy or anxious pets. I’m happy to follow detailed care instructions, tailor care to your pet’s individual needs and send regular photo updates for peace of mind.

For dog walks, I enjoy relaxed walks around local parks, walking trails and coastal areas suited to your dog’s comfort and energy level. Safety, comfort and hydration are always a priority.

Having grown up around animals my whole life, I’m comfortable recognising when pets may be feeling anxious, unsettled or out of routine. I stay calm, patient and attentive, and in the unlikely event of an emergency I would contact the owner immediately and seek veterinary care if required.

At this stage I’m focusing on home visits, cat care, small animal care and occasional dog walking rather than overnight stays or boarding pets in my own home.

Typical home visits are around 20–45 minutes depending on your pet’s needs and routine, and I always allow enough time for feeding, cleaning, playtime, cuddles and companionship rather than rushing through visits. I keep my schedule manageable so each pet receives calm, attentive care, and I’m sometimes able to assist with last-minute bookings where availability allows. I request a meet & greet before taking on any booking. During dog walks I prioritise safe leash handling, avoid overly busy areas where possible and tailor walks to suit your dog’s confidence, age and energy level.
