We absolutely love dogs and understand how important it is to know your furry family member is safe, happy and genuinely cared for while you’re away.

About us – who are we?

Hi! I’m Gabriella, I’m 36 and work in Human Resources/Talent Acquisition, primarily from home. My partner, Danny, works in finance. We’re both corporate professionals, but outside of work we’re very much homebodies and huge animal lovers.

We live in Hamlyn Heights, Geelong, in a clean, spacious and secure home with our miniature Dachshund, Maximus (Maxi), who is very much part of the family.

What is our neighbourhood like?

Hamlyn Heights is a lovely, quiet and very dog-friendly area. We have plenty of local streets and green spaces nearby for walks, sniffing and exploring, as well as easy access to some of Geelong’s great walking areas and parks.

Our own property also has a large, secure backyard, so dogs have plenty of space for supervised outdoor play and enrichment between walks.

What motivates us as pet sitters?

Quite simply, we genuinely love dogs.

We know how important it is to be able to leave your dog with someone and actually relax, rather than wondering whether they’re getting enough attention or spending the day alone.

We want the dogs staying with us to feel like they’ve temporarily joined our family. Expect plenty of attention, cuddles, playtime, walks and probably far too many photos!

I work primarily from home, so pet sitting fits naturally into our lifestyle and gives me the opportunity to spend plenty of one-on-one time with the dogs in our care.

What previous pet-care experience do we have?

We have both been dog owners and have many years of hands-on experience caring for dogs through all different life stages.

Our previous fur baby was part of our lives for 16 years, so we understand both the fun side of pet ownership and the responsibility that comes with caring for a dog throughout its lifetime, including their changing needs as they get older.

We now have our miniature Dachshund, Maxi, so puppy life has certainly refreshed our experience with feeding routines, toilet training, basic commands, enrichment, exercise, socialisation and the general chaos that comes with raising a puppy!

We’re confident following individual feeding and care instructions, administering oral medication, maintaining established routines and adapting care to suit different personalities, ages and energy levels.

Most importantly, we treat other people’s dogs exactly how we would want someone to treat ours: with patience, affection, attention and genuine care.

We’re also big believers in keeping owners updated. You can expect regular photos and little updates during your pet’s stay so you can enjoy your time away knowing they’re safe, happy and being thoroughly spoiled.

What is specifically included in the services you offer?

We provide a genuine home-away-from-home experience for your dog. Every stay includes feeding, fresh water, playtime, enrichment, cuddles, toilet breaks, photo & video updates, and daily walks (if suitable for your dog's age and needs). We’re also happy to administer oral medication and follow your pet’s normal routine. Basic grooming such as brushing and wiping paws after walks is included.

How many dogs will you board at the same time?

We only board one family’s dog(s) at a time. This means your pet receives our full attention in a calm, safe environment without multiple unfamiliar dogs.

How long are your dog walks?

Typically 30–45 minutes, tailored to your dog’s age, fitness and energy level. Puppies and senior dogs receive shorter, gentler walks.

How many dog walks do you offer per day?

1–2 walks per day, plus plenty of supervised backyard play and enrichment throughout the day.

How does pet care fit into your daily or weekly routine?

Pet care fits naturally into our lifestyle. I work primarily from home, so dogs are rarely left alone and become part of our daily routine — from morning cuddles to evening relaxation. We schedule our day around ensuring they’re exercised, entertained and comfortable.

What is your availability like?

We’re available most weekdays, weekends and public holidays for boarding, daycare, walking and house visits. We aim to be flexible wherever possible.

Do you work from home or do you need to leave the house for work?

I work mostly from home in HR, while my partner works full-time in finance. Because I’m home the majority of the day, guest pets receive consistent supervision and companionship.

Can you supervise guest pets 24/7?

Yes — for boarding, guest pets are supervised throughout the day and sleep inside with us. They are never left alone for more than 3 hours, and in most cases much less.

Who else lives in your home?

It’s just my partner and me, along with our friendly miniature Dachshund, Maximus, who loves having canine visitors. We maintain a very clean, quiet and pet-safe home.

Where are the guest pets allowed to sleep?

Wherever they’re most comfortable! Dogs are welcome to sleep inside in our bedroom, in their own bed or crate if preferred, or in the living area. We’ll happily follow your home routine.

If you have a backyard, what is it like?

We have a large, fully fenced and secure backyard with plenty of space to run and play. The fencing is secure, gates are always locked, and dogs are never left outside unattended.
