I’m a reliable, caring and experienced pet sitter who genuinely loves animals. Since moving interstate and being unable to have my own pet, pet sitting has been a wonderful way for me to stay connected with animals.

I’ve cared for pets on multiple occasions, including looking after a cat for four months while their owner was away. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, cleaning, medication, and giving pets plenty of love and attention.

Having had my own animals in the past, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I’m patient, gentle and always take the time to make pet feel safe, happy and comfortable while you’re away. Ive volunteered and walked multiple neighbours dogs in the past. Since 2019 I have been walking my step Mums neighbours Border Collies on a regular minimum 3 week basis, these walks usually last 5.5-6km, 2 hours. Mainly walking Border Collies and Kelpies (have walked Staffies before) over my life, with volunteering to walk other neighbours dogs. Have grown up with Border Collies and Kelpies, and also a Minature Fox Terrier. As a child we had a pet Dobberman/Rotweiller.Have been a dog lover my whole life. Im usually a bit lenient when it comes to behaviour on walks. 2 things i try my best with dogs on walks:1. Stopping (and sitting where trained) before crossing roads.&nbsp;2. Doing my upmost to not let dogs eat anything while on walks (in case of accidental bait poisoning).If there is a dog off leash area, im happy to let the dog off the lead pending recall training, and no other dogs/humans present.

Having always grown up with animals around in my family, and an (unrealised) childhood dream of becoming a vet, I love any opportunity to care for pets. While I don’t have one myself at the moment, I come from a family of both dog and cat lovers (you don’t have to love only one of them!) and have experience training my family dog up from a young kelpie puppy to a well-trained adult dog. 
Overall, I have plenty experience caring for and walking dogs, although I have minimal experience doing this as a ‘job’. As I don't have a dog right now, due to living arrangements, I would love the chance to walk and care for other dogs.

I have experience administering oral medication and supplements to cats and dogs, along with creams, gels, and puffers. I'll happily provide regular updates on your pets (if you wish) while you're away. I will care for your home as if it was my own and follow your instructions to ensure it is secure while you’re away. 

I am proactive, reliable, and a great communicator. I'm a non-smoker and non-drinker, have my own car, and I will happily provide a police check upon request. I have a Canberra-based partner (male, 36, full-time public servant, also a non-smoker and non-drinker with experience house and pet sitting) who will stay with me while I'm pet sitting a couple of nights a week, but will not be involved in caring for your pets.
