In home pet sitting services are a great way to break up the day and enrich it for your pet. Pawshake pet sitters have extensive experience caring for a range of pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and more. If you have multiple pets, home visits are a great option to ensure that they all get a visit and lots of attention during the day.

Drop in visits are the least stressful option for your pet because your pet can stay in their favourite environment – their own home in Hackett ACT. Their surroundings will be familiar and our loving and passionate Pawshake sitter will spoil them each day. Our sitters will treat your home with respect and are flexible with timing, requests and durations. All this can be discussed before you make a home visit booking.

Pet boarding is a great option for when you are away for a few days and your pet needs overnight care. Unlike pet hotels, Pawshake pet boarding allows you to arrange a personalised daily routine for your pet, whether this be extra belly rubs, playtime or 24 hour supervision. Your pet will stay with the pet sitter in a cosy home environment, rather than a large, impersonal pet hotel.

So whether you need just one day, a week or even a month, you’ll be able to find an experienced pet or dog carer to accommodate you and your pet’s needs in Hackett ACT. The best part is that your Pawshake pet sitter is from your local neighbourhood, so they will be familiar with the area.

Our pet carers also have a range of experiences which include puppies, seniors, nervous pets and dog training. So if your pet has special requirements, you’ll be sure to find a pet sitter that is a good match for you.

Your pet’s safety and welfare is a big priority for us, which is why all of our Pawshake pet sitters undergo a strict vetting process by our trust and safety team. At Pawshake, we understand that you might feel a little uneasy allowing a pet sitter to enter your home or arranging pet boarding at their place. This is why Pawshake pet sitters also have reviews from other pet parents that are publicly available on their profile for you to read.

Each pet sitting home visit and pet boarding booking made through Pawshake is covered by the Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer support 7 days a week and more. Rest easy knowing that your pets will be well looked after by one of our expert pet carers in Hackett ACT.

My name is Tracey and I have recently moved to Canberra. I have been with Pawshake for a number of years and have worked in Darwin and Cairns.I have always grown up with pets and cant remember a time when I didnt have at least one pet. I currently have one older cat called Ally. Ally was a rescue cat who I adopted when she was 1 year old.. she is now 16 years old. Ally has diabetes so I have experienced in administering medications and injections. While I currently have just one cat, over the years I have had dogs, cats, budgies, peach face love birds (and their home hatched chick), fish, Guinea pigs and blue yabbies as pets. I understand too well that your pets are an important part of your family and want you to rest assured that they will be in good hands. My services include: Dog walking - where I will go to your house and take your dog for a nice walk. I can do multiple walks per day. Walks can average between 30 to 60 minutes depending on your requirements and your dogs needs. Daily house visit check ups - where I will come to your house while you are out and do what your pet needs for however long you want. Whether its changing litter, giving medication, refilling food and water, grooming them or just playing with them. I can also do multiple visits most days if required. I will also house sit and look after your pets at home if you go away.I know how important it is to keep your pets comfortable and stress free while you are away. I would love to come and help care for your furry friends. I can do multiple visits on most days. While I have a soft spot for cats and dogs, I am happy and willing to assist with most pets. Contact me to discuss any needs you may have or if you want to ask me anything else. I look forward to helping with your pet.

Hello,
I was raised with a love of animals and pets, my family owning 3 cats (Fin/Remi/Pied), 2 dogs (Tilly/Boo), lots of chickens, peacocks, and, most recently, a baby magpie (Chibi). Growing up in a family mostly composed of animals has taught me about the importance of pets in an individual's life.
My care and love for animals have only grown in the last few years, with my cat losing a leg, our rooster (Mr Bojangles) getting sick, and the rehabilitation of a baby magpie.
I have a lot of experience house sitting and caring for friends' pets over the years.
From German Shepherds to rescue shelter cats. I provide dog walking, pet visiting and pet sitting.
I always go the extra mile to make the pets and humans happy.
It takes a responsible, patient, and loving person to care for your special friend, and I believe I have all the skills to provide that.

Ive volunteered and walked multiple neighbours dogs in the past. Since 2019 I have been walking my step Mums neighbours Border Collies on a regular minimum 3 week basis, these walks usually last 5.5-6km, 2 hours. Mainly walking Border Collies and Kelpies (have walked Staffies before) over my life, with volunteering to walk other neighbours dogs. Have grown up with Border Collies and Kelpies, and also a Minature Fox Terrier. As a child we had a pet Dobberman/Rotweiller.Have been a dog lover my whole life. Im usually a bit lenient when it comes to behaviour on walks. 2 things i try my best with dogs on walks:1. Stopping (and sitting where trained) before crossing roads. 2. Doing my upmost to not let dogs eat anything while on walks (in case of accidental bait poisoning). If there is a dog off leash area, im happy to let the dog off the lead pending recall training, and no other dogs/humans present.

I am a loving and reliable pet sitter!
I am an animal lover and enjoy caring for all pets, especially dogs. I will love your pet as though they were my own and give them an enjoyable time while you are away. I enjoy playing enrichment games or playing/training with toys and treats.
As an owner of a nervous and reactive kelpie, I have had extensive experience with caring for and training dogs with mental health issues. I feel particularly passionate about such animals as they deserve as much care and tenderness as any other 'easier' pet.
Pet sitting is the perfect way to have millions of pets without having to find space for them all in my own home! Were it possible I would have at least ten dogs I think.
My job is part time Tuesday-friday 8:30-4pm and I have the option to work from home. This makes me highly flexible and available to care for your pets when you are unable to do so. In every visit I will be sure to play with your pet to keep them mentally stimulated, give them lovely snuggles and just generally hang out with them so they feel like their family isn't so far away.
You can be confident that your pet will be safe and happy in my care and I always ensure to send through many pictures of your fur baby during my visits.
I have been pet sitting for around ten years and have completed some entry-level tafe subjects in basic animal care. I also completed work experience in a pet store which gave me such a fun crash course in caring for animals who are looking for their fur-ever homes.

Having always grown up with animals around in my family, and an (unrealised) childhood dream of becoming a vet, I love any opportunity to care for pets. While I don’t have one myself at the moment, I come from a family of both dog and cat lovers (you don’t have to love only one of them!) and have experience training my family dog up from a young kelpie puppy to a well-trained adult dog.
Overall, I have plenty experience caring for and walking dogs, although I have minimal experience doing this as a ‘job’. As I don't have a dog right now, due to living arrangements, I would love the chance to walk and care for other dogs.
I'm flexible for timings across Friday-Sunday, am a reliable, kind and caring person to all pets alike, and am adaptable to whatever care needs your dog requires.
The opportunity to walk or care for your dog, small or big, young or old, would be my pleasure!
