G'day! My name is Edward, but enough about me - i am sure you want to know more about my home and pets!
I have adopted three rescue animals. Mack the Bengal who is 9 years old - Goldie the Pomeranian who is 10 years old and the newest addition to our family, Sandy the Maltese who is 13 years old.
Why are your pets seniors?
Well, to put it simply. Every time we have gone to the shelter, we ask for the animal that no-one wants, or ignores and who is there the longest. It just so happens that all of our pets have been seniors! Sad right? no one wanting a senior pet. We are happier knowing that these beauties are going to live their golden years with us, spoiled (but disciplined) and enjoy their final years in luxury.
What makes your property the "Versace Pet Paradise?"
Well, firstly our backyard has been setup to be a tranquil environment. With four fish ponds, and one with a water feature that has a blissfull, calming sound of trickling water. We also have created it so that they have a choice of places to lay. In the sun on the grass, on the cool concrete in the sun or in the shade. We also have large trees the cover our fencing so they have the privacy they need. Ours and your pets can enjoy a relaxing stroll along the garden bed, filled with Orchards or play hide and seek in the tomato field (my dogs love playing this game!).
Inside the home
They will have a luxury bath to enjoy a relaxing massage in with organic, cruelty free products. After bathtime, relax under the heat lights and enjoy a blow-dry with a pampering thermal controlled dryer. After that, they will relax on the persian rug, or on their very own couch (if you do not allow pets on your furniture, the same rule will apply here!). They can wander down the hallway to see the postman coming, or just relax with doggie Netflix. Come bed time, it is either inside a crate (if you do crate training) or inside the doggie cage (if you do cage training) or of course, out the back on a plush bed. (Please note, no dogs are permitted in the bed with humans!).
Walking takes place twice a day. First thing in the morning, and then at sundown. We go for walks down to the doggie park around the corner, then along the canal up to the cycleway then back home. Each walk lasts for 30-45 mins. Rain, hail or shine - walks are a must! (visiting dogs will not be permitted off lead at Doggie park for safety and security reasons).
Our dogs eat Hills kibble. We make a bone broth that we then turn into a gravy to make it even more yummier, and soften their food (they're old of course!). Breakfast takes place after their walk, and dinner takes place the same time we eat. After dinner, it's a quick play time then toilet, then bed!.
Training in our home is very important. And if you have a dog who is having behavioural issues, please let me know prior. I can work with your dog whilst in my care!. The training methods i use are:
1. Clicker Training
2. Umbilical Cord Training
3. Aversion Training
Note: All training methods that i use do not involve any harmful devices, or physical punishment. Aversion training is completed with loud sounds or "time out", unlike America where it is completed with Shock Collars. I also use vibration devices to deter behaviour.
I do not use ultrasonic devices on any animal!
