Hi, I’m SJ, an animal-loving nerd who genuinely enjoys caring for pets. I don’t see animals as “just pets”; I treat them as family and always make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while in my care. My motivation for pet sitting comes from a lifelong love of animals and the trust owners place in someone to care for their pets and home while they’re away.

I have hands-on experience volunteering at a cattery, caring for cats of all ages and temperaments, including shy, nervous, senior, and high-energy cats. This taught me patience, responsibility, hygiene standards, and how to read animal behaviour and respond calmly and appropriately. At home, I care for my own 7-year-old cat and 4-year-old Jack Russell, so I’m very familiar with both feline and canine needs.

I’m confident with dog walking, safe leash handling, feeding routines, enrichment, and daily care. I tailor walks to each dog’s energy level and always prioritise safety. I’m happy to follow detailed care instructions and provide regular updates for peace of mind. When house sitting, I treat every home with respect—keeping it clean, secure, and well looked after. I prefer caring for vaccinated pets for everyone’s safety.
