Hi, I’m Amy!

I’m a passionate animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. As an experienced dog owner, I understand that every pet deserves patience, kindness, and individual attention.

I currently have a 5-year-old German Shepherd/Husky named Poppy, and previously had a much-loved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who lived to the wonderful age of 15. Over the years, I’ve gained experience with grooming, exercising, training, and providing loving care for dogs throughout every stage of their lives.

I’ve also cared for friends’ and family’s cats and dogs and am always excited to meet new furry friends. I’m open to looking after a variety of pets, including cats, rabbits, birds, and many other animals. I have experience caring for pets with additional needs, including blind, deaf, and three-legged pets. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a slower pace, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.

I offer:

• Home visits for feeding, playtime, companionship, and check-ins
• Overnight stays in your home, allowing your pets to stay relaxed in their familiar surroundings

As I’m unable to host pets in my own home, all of my services are provided in your home.

Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are my top priorities. During warmer weather (25°C and above), I avoid walking dogs during the hottest part of the day, as this can be unsafe. Instead, I offer early morning or evening walks, and if a daytime visit is needed, I’ll provide indoor play, enrichment activities, and plenty of attention to keep them happy and comfortable.

I’m confident caring for both large and small dogs. Being tall and strong means I’m comfortable handling larger breeds and can assist with lifting dogs into a vehicle if needed. I also adore small dogs and believe every pet deserves personalised care based on their individual needs.

I understand that every pet is unique, so I’m happy to tailor my care to suit their personality, age, energy levels, and routine. Whether they love long adventures, gentle strolls, playtime, cuddles, or simply having someone keep them company, I’ll make sure they receive the care that’s right for them.

A little more about my services: I’m very flexible with my availability and can usually accommodate most days and times. I’m happy to provide up to two home visits per day if needed. I offer standard 30-minute dog walks, 60-minute walks for dogs who enjoy extra exercise, or can tailor visits to suit your pet’s needs. For puppies, small breeds, or senior dogs, I’m happy to split a 30-minute visit into a 15-minute walk followed by 15 minutes of playtime, enrichment, or cuddles at home. I can also provide a 30-minute walk followed by 30 minutes of play and companionship for pets who enjoy a balance of exercise and interaction.

I’m calm and responsible in emergency situations and will always contact you promptly if I have any concerns about your pet. I currently have access to a vehicle depending on my partner’s work schedule and plan to have my own full-time vehicle in the coming months.
