Hi! I'm Patty from Taiwan and currently a first-year Master's student in Animal Science at the University of Queensland, Gatton, where I'm pursuing a career path in animal nutrition. 

My love for animals started at home with two very special friends: Migu, my British Longhair cat 🐱, and Mei Mei, my poodle 🐶. They were with me for years and brought so much warmth (and messes) into my life. Losing them two years ago left a real ache in my heart, one I don't think ever fully goes away. But it also gave me a deep sense of purpose: I want to carry that love forward and offer it to the pets of people who cherish their animals just as much as I cherished mine. That feeling is also what led me down the path of animal nutrition, because caring for animals means understanding what keeps them healthy :)

My academic journey started at the University of Alberta in Canada, where I completed my Bachelor's degree in animal health. During those years, I regularly looked after family and friends' pets and built a solid foundation in animal wellbeing that I still draw on today. Even after leaving Canada, friends still reach out for guidance on their pets' health. While I'm always happy to offer them some directions, I'm mindful that I'm not a substitute for professional veterinary advice. Think of me as a pet knowledgeable friend of yours!

Beyond my studies, I've volunteered at animal shelters in Taiwan, helping with dog walking, cage cleaning, and supporting adoptions, and gained hands-on experience at veterinary clinics in both Taiwan and Canada. I love taking photos of the cats and dogs! (If you don't mind, I'd love to take some lovely photos of your pets too ❤️) I also spent a year working at a pet food company, which deepened my understanding of pet health and the special bond between humans and their animals. These experiences shaped how I approach every animal in my care.

I offer dog walking, drop-in home visits, and house sitting at your home. Unfortunately, I'm not able to host dogs at my own place, but I truly believe pets are happiest in their own familiar environment, so coming to you is always my preference too. I only care for pets that are up to date on their vaccinations, as the health and safety of every animal matters. I'd love to meet your furry one, let's arrange a meet-and-greet!
