Hi, I'm Loïc! I'm 30, and I recently moved to Canberra after finishing my PhD at UQ in Brisbane. My professional background is in science, but animals have been the constant thread through my whole life, and looking after them isn't a side interest for me, it's something I genuinely love doing.
I grew up surrounded by animals and have hands-on experience with dogs, cats, and a wide range of small pets, including rats, mice, hamsters, rabbits, and even a snake. On top of that, I've fostered and volunteered with animals, which means I've looked after all kinds of personalities and needs, from anxious rescues to boisterous puppies.
These days I live in Canberra with my partner and our dog Oreo, a friendly Shih Tzu × Poodle who keeps us busy exploring the city's parks and walking trails. Because I have a dog of my own, I understand what it's like to hand over your pet to someone else, and I know how much peace of mind comes from knowing they're in genuinely caring hands.
I'm patient, reliable, and attentive to the small things that make a real difference, like sticking to your pet's routine, feeding schedule, and quirks, rather than doing things my own way. Whether your pet needs an energetic walk around the lake, a calm afternoon of company, or just someone trustworthy checking in while you're away, I'll treat them exactly like family.
Changes I made: opened with the science-to-animals contrast as a hook rather than a caveat, added "I have a dog myself so I understand what it's like to hand mine over" (a trust signal Canberra owners respond well to), specified "around the lake" as a concrete local touch, and tightened the closing to sound warm but confident rather than just accommodating.

Joined on recommendation of a friend that I pet sat for.
I’m a lifelong animal lover with a background full of furry friendships. I grew up with a beloved family dog and bought my first horse in late 2024 —but I miss the smaller everyday woofs, tail wags, and purrs! I’ve pet sat for friends and family over the years and am known for connecting easily with animals of all kinds. Whether your pet is playful, shy, or somewhere in between, I’m committed to giving them the love, attention, and care they deserve.More than just fun for your pets, I take pride in being reliable and professional. I understand how important it is to stick to routines and show up on time — especially when it comes to feeding, walks, or medication schedules.
You can count on me to respect your home, follow your instructions closely, and keep you updated so you always know your pet is in good hands.
Listed pricing is indicative only and may vary based on duration (house sits require a minimum stay or will incur a surcharge), number of pets and other tasks required.

I have a genuine passion for caring for animals and providing calm, reliable, and attentive pet care. I aim to keep pets feeling safe and comfortable by maintaining their usual routines as closely as possible, especially when they are anxious or in a new situation. With nervous pets, I take a gentle, patient approach, allowing them to approach me in their own time and using calm body language to build trust without pressure.

I have experience caring for both dogs and farm animals, including pet sitting two dogs (one young and one older) for a week. During this time, I followed specific feeding routines, provided companionship, and ensured they were comfortable and settled throughout the day. I am also experienced with feeding multiple animals and adjusting to different dietary routines and instructions. The older dog required multiple medications throughout the day, which I delivered routinely.

For home visits, I typically spend time ensuring pets are fed, have fresh water, are comfortable, and receive attention before leaving. I am happy to provide updates to owners after each visit, including messages and photos, so they feel reassured while away. I am dependable, observant, and always communicate clearly if anything changes or needs attention.

I'm Bianca, I work full time for a university and I do some dog sitting on the side. I started dogsitting a year ago, and it’s honestly been the best decision I have made! I live in an apartment in the city and have recently adopted a dog I was sitting for- Rosie who is now the centre of my world Crazy how the world works! Rosie loves dogs, humans and mostly food so if your dog is happy with another dog around, I'm happy to do a meet and greet to see if the pups get along!
As I live in an apartment, unfortunately I can only accept housetrained and small (up to 10kg) dogs. I’ll take your pup out every couple of hours so they’ll get lots of outside time depending on their activity level.
My job is flexible I can arrange to work from home when required so your dog will have company throughout the day. Rosie loves company too, so she'd love it!
In short, my service includes (but not limited to):
1. Lots of walks, play time, company and cuddles
2. A bath and brush (if you would like them to have one!) -I have all necessary items on hand, however if you wish to bring your own dog shampoo if they have sensitive skin please feel free to!
Your puppy with be on a holiday while you’re on a holiday! I'll be sure to send you lots of photos and updates so you won't miss them too muc
Please contact me if you have any further questions, can't wait to meet you and your fur babies!

Ive volunteered and walked multiple neighbours dogs in the past. Since 2019 I have been walking my step Mums neighbours Border Collies on a regular minimum 3 week basis, these walks usually last 5.5-6km, 2 hours. Mainly walking Border Collies and Kelpies (have walked Staffies before) over my life, with volunteering to walk other neighbours dogs. Have grown up with Border Collies and Kelpies, and also a Minature Fox Terrier. As a child we had a pet Dobberman/Rotweiller.Have been a dog lover my whole life. Im usually a bit lenient when it comes to behaviour on walks. 2 things i try my best with dogs on walks:1. Stopping (and sitting where trained) before crossing roads. 2. Doing my upmost to not let dogs eat anything while on walks (in case of accidental bait poisoning). If there is a dog off leash area, im happy to let the dog off the lead pending recall training, and no other dogs/humans present.

I grew up with cats and love them, but love dogs as well! I can take your pet on a walk, play, give food and water, and make sure it is very comfortable! Whether your pet loves gentle cuddles or energetic playtime, I will make sure they feel safe and happy.
I dont have professional experience as vet, but I can give you pet a bath if needed/you have the place to. I am also happy to brush their coat, clean litter boxes, and help with simple daily routines.
I'm available during the week for 2-3 hours, and all weekend! I can vist your pet multiple times a day, and I will send you pictures of your pet so you know its okay. I always make sure to provide quick photo updates during each visit so you have full peace of mind while you are away.
I cant receive the pets in my own home, but I am happy to go to you! Keeping pets in their own familiar home helps reduce stress and keeps them relaxed.
Be sure that your pet will be well cared for! Feel free to message me with any questions or routines your pet needs.

Hi! I’m an animal lover who genuinely enjoys caring for pets and making sure they feel safe, comfortable and loved. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and my love for them has gone beyond simply having pets of my own.
One of the experiences I’m especially proud of is rescuing and fostering 7 kittens who needed a safe place to stay over 3 years. This taught me a lot about being patient, understanding different personalities and routines, and giving animals the reassurance they need when they are in an unfamiliar situation.
I’m happy to care for cats and dogs and will follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible. Depending on the service, I can provide feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, companionship, toilet breaks, basic grooming and cleaning up after your pet. I’m also happy to follow specific care instructions provided by owners.
My services include: Dog boarding, home visits, Day care for dog or cat or both.
I’m a calm, responsible and tidy person, and I understand how important it is to feel confident leaving your pet with someone else. My aim is for your pet to feel happy, safe and cared for while you’re away.

I am an animal lover who is absolutely dog obsessed; I am the type of person that needs to say hi and pat all of the dogs I pass by on the street.
Since a young age I have always had a dog and other pets in my life before moving to Australia and since I unfortunately don't have any pets of my own at this moment I love to spend time with other people's pets.
Despite being new to Pawshake I have been pet sitting and dog walking for over 8 years. With all of this experience I have gained the skills to adapt to each animals individual needs to ensure that they feel safe and loved during their times with me.
I'm also a very active person and like to keep fit so I love having some company on my walks.
I have moved to Canberra about 8 months ago for a change of scenery and at this stage I am offering pet sitting in the pet's home, dog walking and daily home visits to keep your pets happy while you're away. I know how hard it is to go away without your pets so I always make sure to update owners with pics of their happy fur friend while they're in my care.

Contact me today to arrange a meet and greet. I look forward to hearing from you soon

Hi, I’m Caitlin! I’m an Australian National University student and a huge animal lover. I have three cats of my own, so I know how much our pets become part of the family and how important it is to know they’re being looked after properly when you’re away. I’m used to different personalities, routines and needs to keep up with, and I enjoy spending time with animals.
I’m available for dog walks, home visits and pet sitting. For home visits, I can take care of feeding, fresh water, litter trays, playtime, cuddles and anything else your pet needs as part of their normal routine. I’m also happy to spend some extra time with them so they aren’t left feeling lonely. Dog walks can be around 30–60 minutes, depending on your dog and what they’re comfortable with.
I’m happy to care for cats and dogs, and I’m open to looking after other pets depending on their needs. I’ll always follow your instructions and take the time to understand your pet’s routine before you head away.
I’m reliable, patient and easy to communicate with. I’ll also send you photos and updates while you’re away, because I know I’d want to know how my own pets were doing! Most importantly, I’ll treat your pets with the same care and attention I’d want someone to give mine.

Having always grown up with animals around in my family, and an (unrealised) childhood dream of becoming a vet, I love any opportunity to care for pets. While I don’t have one myself at the moment, I come from a family of both dog and cat lovers (you don’t have to love only one of them!) and have experience training my family dog up from a young kelpie puppy to a well-trained adult dog.
Overall, I have plenty experience caring for and walking dogs, although I have minimal experience doing this as a ‘job’. As I don't have a dog right now, due to living arrangements, I would love the chance to walk and care for other dogs.
I'm flexible for timings across Friday-Sunday, am a reliable, kind and caring person to all pets alike, and am adaptable to whatever care needs your dog requires.
The opportunity to walk or care for your dog, small or big, young or old, would be my pleasure!
