I’m Carmen, a qualified vet from Argentina, currently working as a vet nurse at a veterinary clinic in Townsville while I prepare to have my veterinary qualification recognised in Australia.

Outside the clinic, I truly enjoy caring for dogs and cats and providing them with all the love, attention, and care they deserve. I’m supported by my partner, Leandro, who is also a qualified veterinarian and works at a different clinic. Ive volunteered and walked multiple neighbours dogs in the past. Since 2019 I have been walking my step Mums neighbours Border Collies on a regular minimum 3 week basis, these walks usually last 5.5-6km, 2 hours. Mainly walking Border Collies and Kelpies (have walked Staffies before) over my life, with volunteering to walk other neighbours dogs. Have grown up with Border Collies and Kelpies, and also a Minature Fox Terrier. As a child we had a pet Dobberman/Rotweiller.Have been a dog lover my whole life. Im usually a bit lenient when it comes to behaviour on walks. 2 things i try my best with dogs on walks:1. Stopping (and sitting where trained) before crossing roads.&nbsp;2. Doing my upmost to not let dogs eat anything while on walks (in case of accidental bait poisoning).If there is a dog off leash area, im happy to let the dog off the lead pending recall training, and no other dogs/humans present.

I'm Phoebe and I aim to provide reliable, attentive care, long walks, and plenty of cuddles for your dogs. Coming from a home of two large dogs, I have experience handling dogs from large to small (and their varying strengths). As I miss my childhood dogs (a German shepherd and Rhodesian Ridgeback!), I am seeking jobs that provide canine company. I've taken a keen interest in dogs since I was very small and love to see unique breeds or mixes! As such, nothing brings me more joy than a well exercised, content, and well cared for pup.

I have a genuine passion for caring for animals and providing calm, reliable, and attentive pet care. I aim to keep pets feeling safe and comfortable by maintaining their usual routines as closely as possible, especially when they are anxious or in a new situation. With nervous pets, I take a gentle, patient approach, allowing them to approach me in their own time and using calm body language to build trust without pressure.

I have experience caring for both dogs and farm animals, including pet sitting two dogs (one young and one older) for a week. During this time, I followed specific feeding routines, provided companionship, and ensured they were comfortable and settled throughout the day. I am also experienced with feeding multiple animals and adjusting to different dietary routines and instructions. The older dog required multiple medications throughout the day, which I delivered routinely. 

For home visits, I typically spend time ensuring pets are fed, have fresh water, are comfortable, and receive attention before leaving. I am happy to provide updates to owners after each visit, including messages and photos, so they feel reassured while away. I am dependable, observant, and always communicate clearly if anything changes or needs attention.

I am an animal lover who is absolutely dog obsessed; I am the type of person that needs to say hi and pat all of the dogs I pass by on the street. 
Since a young age I have always had a dog and other pets in my life before moving to Australia and since I unfortunately don't have any pets of my own at this moment I love to spend time with other people's pets. 
Despite being new to Pawshake I have been pet sitting and dog walking for over 8 years. With all of this experience I have gained the skills to adapt to each animals individual needs to ensure that they feel safe and loved during their times with me. 
I'm also a very active person and like to keep fit so I love having some company on my walks.

Having always grown up with animals around in my family, and an (unrealised) childhood dream of becoming a vet, I love any opportunity to care for pets. While I don’t have one myself at the moment, I come from a family of both dog and cat lovers (you don’t have to love only one of them!) and have experience training my family dog up from a young kelpie puppy to a well-trained adult dog. 
Overall, I have plenty experience caring for and walking dogs, although I have minimal experience doing this as a ‘job’. As I don't have a dog right now, due to living arrangements, I would love the chance to walk and care for other dogs.

Hi I'm Alexandra! I'm originally from Melbourne and am currently studying law and commerce at ANU. I have spent my entire life surrounding by animals, especially dogs, chickens and horses. I have experience looking after dogs, chickens, cats and horses of family and friends when they have been away. However, most of my experience comes from my responsibilities at home. I have grown up on acreage and care for 5 horses and a dog at home. I absolutely adore my pets and love to spoil them with treats and cuddles. When pet sitting I would give them the same love and attention as I would my own pets. I'm not the kind a person who simply feeds the dogs and then ignores them. I love giving them pats and cuddles as much as they love receiving them! I have handled shy dogs and boisterous ones and I know that they often need different levels of care and attention depending on their personalities.
