Both my wife and I are passionate dog lovers. With years of pet care experience—including volunteering at the AWLQ—we treat every visiting dog like a member of our own family. 

We know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your furry best friend behind, and we’re here to give you complete peace of mind while you're away.

At least one of us works from home every day, meaning your pup will have attentive company, plenty of affection, and consistent supervision. When we do head out for quick errands, we do our best never to leave the dogs alone for more than 2–3 hours.

What your dog will enjoy:

• Space to Play: Fully fenced, secure front and back yards with indoor/outdoor access through a doggie door.
• Walks on most days: A 30–40 minute walk around the neighborhood most days (please be sure to pack their collar/harness and lead).
• Playmates & Attention: We host a maximum of two guest dogs at a time so everyone gets personal care alongside our two resident dogs, Dexter and Evie.
• Comfort & Safety: Cozy indoor sleeping in our living area or bedroom, shady rest spots, and dog-proofed living spaces.
• Healthy Treats: Fresh treats like carrots, apples, cucumbers, and the occasional peanut butter spoonful (always tailored to dietary restrictions).
• Optional Spa & Grooming: We have a trusted professional mobile groomer who visits our home monthly. If your dog’s stay aligns with an upcoming visit date, we’re happy to arrange a wash or groom for your pup too—just let us know with enough advance notice so we can reserve a slot! (Note: Grooming/washing fees are set by the groomer and reimbursed by you)

• Tailored Updates on Your Schedule: We know you want to unwind and enjoy your holiday without a phone buzzing constantly, so we customize our updates to your preference. Whether you prefer daily photo check-ins, updates every few days, or just a quick message when requested, simply let us know what works best for you!
• Reliable Routines: Strict adherence to your dog’s specific feeding schedules and oral medication routines. 
• Prompt Emergency Care: While we do everything possible to prevent issues, life can be unpredictable. If an urgent health situation ever arises, we will act immediately and do our absolute best to get your dog to an emergency vet as quickly as possible. We are fortunate to have trusted 24/7 emergency veterinary hospitals located just minutes away from our home, so professional care is always within quick reach.

Home Meet & Greets & Drop-Offs:
We love hosting meet-and-greets directly at our home so you and your dog can see the environment and meet Dexter and Evie firsthand. 

• The First Few Minutes: Like many happy hounds, our dogs will enthusiastically bark to announce new visitors arriving at the gate or door. This is just their natural vocal excitement!
• Settling In: Once everyone is inside the secure yard or entryway, we allow 10–15 minutes for initial sniffs and greetings. The barking quickly subsides as they settle down and realize a new playmate has arrived. 
• Guest Requirements: To keep the pack safe and harmonious, we welcome guest dogs who are non-aggressive toward other dogs and humans, potty trained, and comfortable with basic household manners.
