My name is Julia, I’m a 27-year-old french girl currently living in Sydney in Australia.

I am a caring and responsible person with a genuine love for animals. I have grown up my whole life surrounded by pets, especially dogs, and animals have always been a big part of my daily life. Taking care of them feels completely natural to me.

I truly enjoy spending time with dogs, cats, and animals in general — whether it’s going for walks, playing, feeding them, or simply giving them affection and attention. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away.

I am also a primary school teacher in France, a job that has strengthened my sense of responsibility, empathy and reliability. Being a teacher means I am used to caring for others, understanding their needs and creating a calm, reassuring environment — qualities that I naturally bring into pet sitting as well.

I am very comfortable handling dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and behaviors. Having grown up with dogs, I understand that each dog is unique and may react differently depending on the situation, environment, or level of stimulation.

During walks, I always adapt my approach to the dog’s needs and behavior. I stay attentive to their body language, keep a calm and confident attitude, and make sure they feel secure. I am used to walking dogs on a leash, maintaining control in public spaces, and adjusting the pace depending on the dog’s age and energy level. If a dog is energetic or easily distracted, I remain focused and consistent, while with more anxious or shy dogs, I take a gentle and reassuring approach.

Safety is always my priority. I make sure collars and harnesses are properly fitted, avoid risky situations, and choose suitable walking routes. I stay alert to the surroundings, other dogs, traffic, and potential stressors to ensure a safe and pleasant walk. I believe calmness, patience, and clear communication are key to building trust with animals.
