Hi, I’m Carly!

I recently moved to Melbourne from the UK, where I lived for more than 20 years. Originally from New Zealand, I’m now excited to be calling Melbourne home.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, our family had cats, dogs, horses, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs, and as an adult I’ve shared my home with rescue cats. My two senior girls, Lola and Milly, recently made the journey from the UK with me and are happily settling into their new Australian home.

Alongside caring for my own pets, I’ve spent several years fostering cats and kittens. Most recently I cared for two rescue kittens from Dubai who arrived in very poor condition. After five months of dedicated care, they recovered, grew into confident, healthy cats and found their forever home. Helping vulnerable animals thrive has been one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had.

I’m most experienced with cats and am comfortable administering tablets, cleaning ears and providing any extra care they may need. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I take the time to earn their trust while following your care instructions carefully.

While I haven’t owned dogs as an adult, I’ve regularly cared for dogs belonging to family and friends. I’m happy caring for friendly, well-socialised dogs and enjoy getting out for walks and spending time with them.

As I don’t currently have a car, I’m available for dog walking and home visits within walking or cycling distance of Essendon. House sitting is available more broadly by arrangement.

I know how important it is to leave your pets with someone you trust. I’ll care for them as if they were my own and am happy to send regular photo, video and text updates, so you can relax knowing they’re in safe, caring hands.
