Hi, I'm Rachel. Thank you for looking at my profile! I am an ex-foster mum with Urban Cat Alliance (now sadly closed), a local charity that rescued, neutered, and rehomed street cats. I'm proud to say all my rescue fosters went on to be successfully adopted, giving them a second chance at life. My partner Paul and I even ended up adopting our final three foster kitties, tuxedo boy, Teddy Bear, and sisters, Paige and Harper. Because we have our own fur-family, we know firsthand the anxiety of finding a truly responsible, caring human for your precious pets. I currently have a lot of time on my hands while I recover from cancer treatment and take time away from regular work. Walking dogs and visiting cats brings me immense joy, and because my schedule is wide open, I don’t rush my visits. I often stay longer to give your animals extra companionship, because I know that is exactly what my own kitties would want. I live very close to Sydney Park, which is the perfect spot for taking your dog (or adventurous cat!) on a long and engaging walk. For cat home visits, I provide dedicated drop-ins for feeding, litter maintenance, play, and quiet company. Thanks to my years in cat rescue, I am highly experienced with complex pet needs and comfortable with shy and anxious animals. I understand animal body language and know how to build trust slowly. Our own Teddy is still a very anxious boy despite huge leaps forward, so I completely understand sensitive pets. Because of his anxiety, I cannot offer care inside our own home and strictly provide home visits and dog walking. I am fully confident in administering specialized diets, supplements, and medications. I always take lots of photos and keep in close communication during my pet sits so you never have to worry.
