ABOUT ME 

And then there was one… After many years of doing dog sitting together, my wonderful and kind husband Taito sadly passed away in 2026 and now there is only me… So who am I? I am a corporate professional working mostly from home for an international company. Originally from Finland, we moved to Australia over 30 years ago. We shared a lifelong love for dogs, having raised several over the years - most recently two wonderful Jack Russell Terriers who lived past the age of 15. After our own dogs passed, Taito and I started dog sitting in 2020 to bring doggie energy back into our lives. Following his passing, I am continuing this shared passion, offering a caring, attentive home for your pets. 

MY EXPERIENCE

Having had several dogs of our own and cared for senior pets - including our last Jack Russell lady who managed blindness and complex medical needs in her final years - I am thoroughly experienced in administering medication, handling special diets and accommodating low-mobility dogs with patience. Since 2020, we have welcomed over 100 dogs into our home and I can honestly say we loved them all!  

MY CARE & REQUIREMENTS

Working remotely allows me to tailor walks, feeding times and routines around your dog's specific needs. Walks are never rushed; I respect that sniffing, exploring and socialising are the highlight of a dog's day. Sydney Park is also nearby for longer outings. 

I welcome small to medium-sized dogs, but because my apartment has wall-to-wall carpets, I can only host fully house-trained dogs. Unfortunately I can’t take puppies, dogs prone to marking or pets with separation anxiety that leads to accidents. I occasionally host dogs from different families concurrently. If your dog enjoys company, they may have a playmate – but I will always confirm this with you prior to booking. 

MY HOME

My apartment is located in a quiet, pet-friendly inner-city complex featuring a private balcony with artificial turf (doggy toilet) and a view over the street, accessible entry via a lift and ramp (no stairs required for older or injured dogs), a fully enclosed, private inner courtyard for secure play, dog stairs in the bedroom to help smaller guests access my king-sized bed (where they are welcome to sleep) and proximity to a local pet hospital (500m) and a 24/7 emergency vet clinic (3 km) in case of emergencies. The neighbourhood is dotted with old terrace houses, some modern complexes and small parks here and there, providing a nice, relaxed environment for pet walking, and lots of other dogs to meet and greet.  

WHAT TO BRING  

• Feeding, toileting and general care instructions, including any special needs or preferences 
• Sufficient food for the duration of the stay, special treats and notes about any possible allergies 
• Any required medications with clear dosages  
• Poo bags 
• Your regular vet's contact details  
• Optional: Beds, bowls and toys. I have a selection of beds, bowls, chew and other toys, but feel free to bring your dog's personal favourites. 

SERVICES

• Doggie Daycare (approx. 8 hours): Includes 2–3 walks, flexible feeding, regular photo/text updates and playtime as per dog’ needs and preferences. 

· Dog Boarding (Overnight / 24-Hour Care): Includes 24-hour care, 4+ walks daily, regular updates and sleeping access to my bed or their own. Overnight is considered to be approximately the same drop-off and pick-up time, and for extended hours an additional fee, as discussed on a case-by-case basis may apply.
