Hi there,

My name's Josh. I'm a 26-year-old living in an apartment in Dulwich Hill. I work in a media and communications role in the social housing industry where I advocate for greater social and affordable housing options for people in NSW.

I am a long-time animal lover, with a particular love for dogs. Growing up, I've always had dogs in the family. In my own family home, we had a Scottish Terrier, a Belgian Shepherd, and at the moment, a 12-year-old Cavoodle. There were even dogs more in my extended family who I have always been close with and was lucky to grow up with. There's been a German Shepherd, a Border Collie, several Golden Retrievers, and a Cavoodle.

Unfortunately, I'm not quite to ready to have my own pet but I can't wait for the day that I am!

The reason I've signed up to help out with your pet walking/visiting/minding needs is purely because of my love for animals. Since moving out of home a few years ago, life isn't the same without constantly being around furry friends and this is a way I can spend some time with animals and get some endorphins while helping someone else out!

I'll happily help out with any pet you've got. I've never had my own cat but my partner of several years has her own who I constantly care for, plus several that I knew growing up, so my love for cats is just as real.

Undoubtedly though, my passion is for dogs who I think I've always had a bit of a knack bonding with, regardless of breed, size, gender, social/grumpy, and anything in between. I'm not intimidated by dogs who haven't quite found their social skills or are stand-offish to new people - I enjoy getting to know them by taking my time and allowing them to feel as comfortable as possible.

A few things about my services:

- I live in a small one-bedroom apartment on an upper level so unfortunately I do not offer pet sitting in my home as it wouldn't be fair on your pets

- I can walk, pay a visit or house-sit with multiple pets at the same time

- I can do nice long walks with lots of plays and running around if you've got a lively one or slow/short ones if you've got an oldie who just needs to get outside!

- I can only offer one walk per day for your pets - I wish my schedule would allow for more!

- My timing is generally flexible on the days I'm available (Monday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday). As long as I don't have an immoveable meeting at the time you suggest, I will be able to accomodate any time of the day

- If house-sitting is what you're after, I can simply bring my computer to your home and be there all day giving plenty of attention to your pets

What I don't have in formal experience in dog walking or minding, I make up for in passion for and relationship-building skills with animals.

I completely understand that you'd want to get to know me a bit first before trusting me with your best friends so don't be a stranger! Let me know if you'd like to meet to get to know each other a bit. Even before then, hit me up with as many questions as you'd like to ask.
