Hi, I’m Riley!

I’m a past elite sportsman living in South Yarra, and I’ve always loved being active, spending time outdoors and, most importantly, being around dogs. I have a dog of my own back home who I’ve spent years walking and caring for, so I understand how important it is to know your dog is with someone you can genuinely trust.

Having spent years in an elite sporting environment, reliability, discipline and responsibility are a big part of who I am. I’m energetic, patient and attentive, and I’ll treat your dog with the same care I would my own.

DOG WALKING

No two dogs are the same, so I don’t believe every walk should be the same either. I’ll tailor each walk to your dog’s age, fitness, personality, energy level and what they’re feeling like that day.

Whether they love a long energetic walk, a run around, exploring somewhere new, stopping to sniff absolutely everything, or just taking things at a slower pace, I’m happy to work around them.

I’m based in South Yarra with some amazing walking areas right nearby, including The Tan, Royal Botanic Gardens surrounds, the Yarra River and plenty of local parks and walking tracks. I’m also happy to explore different suitable areas where appropriate so your dog can enjoy some variety and new scenery.

Walks can generally be 30 or 60 minutes, depending on what you book and what suits your dog. I have a highly flexible schedule, so I can often accommodate different times throughout the day.

HOME VISITS

I’m also happy to provide home visits for dogs who need some company, care or attention while you’re away.

During a visit, I can refresh water, provide their food as instructed, take them outside for a toilet break, give approved treats, play with them and spend some quality time keeping them company. I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable while you’re away.

Home visits can generally be 30 or 60 minutes, depending on your dog’s needs.

I’m very respectful of other people’s homes. I’ll securely enter and leave the property, follow any instructions you provide, make sure doors and gates are properly closed and locked and leave everything exactly as I found it.

SAFETY & COMMUNICATION

Your dog’s safety and wellbeing will always come first. Before caring for them, I’m happy to learn about their temperament, usual routine, recall, behaviour around other dogs and people, medical considerations and anything else you think I should know.

If anything unexpected happens, I’ll contact you straight away. In an emergency, I’ll prioritise your dog’s immediate safety, follow the emergency and veterinary instructions you provide and seek appropriate veterinary assistance where necessary.

I also know how reassuring it is to see that your dog is happy while you’re away. I’m happy to send you photos and a quick update after walks or visits, so you know what they got up to and how they went if that's what's wanted.

Most importantly, I want your dog to genuinely enjoy seeing me. I’ll take the time to build their trust, learn their personality and make every walk or visit a positive experience.

You can feel confident knowing your dog is in caring, responsible hands.

Whether they need to burn off some energy, explore somewhere new or simply have someone keep them company, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention and come home safe, happy and hopefully a little tired!
