Hi everyone! I am a recently retired optometrist who loves exploring local areas by foot, and I'm looking for a furry friend to be my walking companion. Although I worked as an optometrist, I really should have been a vet...I absolutely love animals and think that there is nothing better than spending time with a dog!

I have been blessed with the company of a beautiful Jack Russell terrier in the past as well as an assortment of cats! I have also owned many chickens, ducks and cows, but that is another story.  

 My 22-year-old student daughter, who loves meeting animals of every kind almost as much as I do, often comes with me on the walks as well, so your dog or cat will probably end up with two new best friends rather than one! We both have the good fortune of having very relaxed schedules - we are extremely flexible with our commitments, so we both have plenty of time in our days to spend with your pet, big or small. 

I can schedule my walk with your furry friend in either the morning, afternoon or evening, rain, hail or shine! Walks are generally one hour but can be made shorter or longer according to your needs. I live close to the Botannical Gardens, so many walks are in or around The Tan or along the Yarra River path.

As well as my hobby of dog walking and cat sitting, I am more than happy to keep your dog or cat happy and well looked after in the comfort of his or her own home, with dog and cat sitting or visits so that you have complete peace of mind while you are away. I am happy to collect the mail, water plants and take the rubbish bin in and out as well. I will keep your house as secure as though it were my own.
