We're a warm, active family in Cottesloe with two young kids (5 and 1) and an au pair who'll also be part of the household. We've grown up around dogs and had family dogs before, but at this stage of life, full-time dog ownership isn't right for us — so we'd love to care for yours while you're away instead!

Someone is home most of every day, and dogs get a daily walk. We host one dog at a time to make sure they get our full attention. Because we have a baby napping and young kids around, we're selective about which dogs we welcome — we'll always arrange a meet and greet first to assess temperament and make sure everyone is comfortable, kids included. We particularly love calm, family-friendly breeds like cavoodles, groodles, labradors, cavaliers, and golden retrievers.

On the rare occasion we're briefly out, dogs are settled safely at home. Dogs aren't allowed on the couch or bed, but they're very much part of the family. With two little boys at the dinner table, there's never a shortage of crumbs to hoover up — your dog will consider it a bonus perk! In the evenings, they'll settle in at our feet while we watch TV.
