I have always loved animals and have a passion for both animal welfare and conservation, which has led me to currently be completing a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at James Cook University.

I have a lot of experience with animals, including my own pet dogs, farmed sheep and dairy cattle, horses and volunteer experience with a variety of animals through my volunteer work with the RSPCA. During my time at the RSPCA, I completed training courses focused on dogs and cats, and learned on the job about mice, rats, guinea pigs, horses, ducks, and birds. I have a certificate in basic horse care through Thoroughbred Breeders Australia and in animal first aid through Holly and Hugo. These experiences and certifications demonstrate that I am aware of the needs of a variety of animals and am able to meet these needs.

Beyond this basic experience, I have also completed a 72-hour Zoology, Animal Science and Animal Welfare course offered by Online Learning Australia, an equine emergencies and first aid course by Dr Lizzy McCready and a 40-hour introduction to Vet Nursing course covering animal health care, including health problems and behaviours, first aid and safety. This means that in an emergency, I will be well suited to take care of your animals. In addition, at my previous university, I completed courses on Animal Behaviour and Learning, so I will be a good fit to continue your animals' training needs while you are away.

I am very flexible with durations of walks and visits, location, and frequency of both visits and updates, depending on the needs of you and your animals.
