G'day, I'm Drew!

I work as a Park Ranger in Melbourne's West, where I am focusing on restoring a critically endagered ecosystem known as the Grasslands of the Victorian Volcanic Plains that used to span from north Melbourne all the way to South Australia. Throughout this role, I work on protecting critically endangered animal species such as the Striped Legless Lizard, Southern Brown Bandicoot and the Golden Sun Moth just to name a few.

I have completed a Bachelors of Environmental Science where I Majored in Wildlife Conservation Biology. This is where I learned all things about the environment and how to protect it.

I grew up on a farm located in the rural southeast coast of NSW, and have always grown up around animals such as dogs, cats, cows, horses, chickens, ducks and guinea pigs. Throughout this time, I learned about animal husbandry and how to care for pets and meet their own individual needs. 

My cats names is Juno! She is a rescue cat who was abandoned in the streets. She is very shy and anxious and receives lots of love from my partner and I. I understand that all pets have their own unique individual personalities. You can be confident that I will take the utmost care and provide enrichment to your fury friends lives while you are away. 

I love being around animals, and take pleasure in providing them with happiness and affection. Pet sitting is a dream job for me to have on the side of my current occupation, and I hope that you find me a suitable sitter while you are away.

I would like to keep my services within a 5-10km radius of my home suburb Coburg. My availability is typically in the afternoons as I work full-time, however, I am happy to negotiate early morning home visits depending on what time you would like.

HOME VISITS

- Up to 1hr which includes travel time

- Spending quality time with pets

- Can include a short 10min walk in a home visit but any longer would require the walk booking

- Water refill, feeding and cleaning/changing the litter. 

Additional tasks:

Watering plants, bin runs, bringing in mail etc.

WALKS:

- 30 mins to 1hr depending on pets' needs and fitness levels. Can be discussed further.

- Have a good level of fitness so any pace of walk is fine with me

- Will take to dog parks and around your local areas for socialising and familiarity for the animal

HOUSE/PET SITTING:

- Can only commit to short stays at this stage (1-2 nights)

- Includes everything mentioned in home visits and walks
