Experienced Brit!! Hi, I’m Lydia. I'm a science teacher from England and currently living in Australia on a Working Holiday Visa.
I’m an animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets and rescue animals, and I’d love to help care for your pet-family while you’re away or busy.
A bit about me...I’m a qualified science teacher (biology is my favourite but don't tell the kids!), working with young people aged 11–18. Before becoming a teacher, I worked at an animal rescue sanctuary in the UK, where I cared for a wide variety of animals every day. Through both my professional and personal experience, I’m confident and competent caring for cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, chickens, ducks, turkeys, goats, sheep, pigs, horses, donkeys, cows, and more.
I also have experience caring for elderly pets and animals with additional needs, including those that are deaf or blind, so I’m happy to follow any routines, medication schedules, or extra care instructions to ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved.
More generally, I am a tidy non-smoker with a clean driving license and access to a car.
I know how difficult it must be to trust others to care for your loved ones, so I'm more than happy to answer any questions you have and put your minds at ease.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
