Hi, my name's Finn and 24 years old. Born & raised in Ireland, and in 2019 transferred to UWA to complete my studies as a mechanical engineer of which I have one more year left of my master’s degree. Currently working full-time as a vac student for a Dutch engineering company called Fugro.

A friend of mine recently told me about Pawshake and I thought it would be a brilliant opportunity for me as I love dogs and all animals but unfortunately can't have any of my own as I live in an apartment block which doesn't allow pets. Although with my busy schedule, I don't think it would be right having any pets of my own as I couldn't commit enough time to take care of them.

I'm a very active person who loves the outdoors and I see this as a brilliant opportunity to motivate myself to explore more of Perth's parks, beaches, and forest trails and better yet I'd have a companion to do it. As I'm working full-time, it's much less about the money and more so something I'd just really enjoy.

I had two dogs growing up (Ali & Diego) who were a cross between a border collie and a springer spaniel, as you can see in one of the photos I've uploaded (black & white dogs). We trained them very well and I never struggled to keep them under control which of course is a detrimental factor to being a good/safe dog owner. Additionally, I've looked after many friends, family and partners dogs which I've bonded with and taken great joy in minding.

I'm looking to start dog walking during my time off on the weekends but I'm also considering try to fit walks in before or after work on weekdays too. This is something I'd be willing to discuss with owners depending on their needs. I also have my own car so I can pick-up & drop-off as needed.
