Hi, I'm Amelie!

I'm currently at university two days a week, which gives me plenty of flexibility and availability to care for your pets.

I've grown up surrounded by animals and have always loved caring for them. I have experience house sitting and pet sitting for both dogs and cats in a variety of homes, as well as completing work experience at a cattery. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or has a few quirky habits, I'm happy to adapt to their individual needs.

I'm comfortable following specific care routines, including administering medications, sticking to dietary requirements, and maintaining your pet's usual schedule. If your dog is reactive or a little nervous, that's absolutely okay - I have a reactive French Bulldog myself, so I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and respecting each dog's boundaries.

I currently offer pet care services for dogs and cats only, as those are the animals I have the most experience with.

During house sits, I aim to keep your pet's routine as normal as possible. Whether that's walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, medication, or simply keeping them company, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. I'm also happy to water plants, bring in mail, and leave your home clean and tidy.

I generally take dogs on 15-40 minute walks, depending on their age, energy level, and your preferences. On Tuesdays I'm at university from 10am-3pm, and on Thursdays from 12pm-4pm, but outside of those hours I'll be with your pets. If I'm rostered at my casual job, I'm typically only away for up to 4 hours, usually just once or twice a week. If your pet has specific needs or shouldn't be left alone for that long, please let me know and I'll be happy to discuss whether I'm the right fit.

In the unlikely event of an emergency, I'll contact you immediately and, if needed, take your pet to your preferred veterinarian or the nearest emergency vet. I'll also happily send daily updates and plenty of photos, so you can relax knowing your pets are happy and in good hands.

I know how important it is to trust someone with both your pets and your home, so I'll treat them with the same care and respect I would my own.
