I am Clare and I'm an illustrator (drawing dogs is my thing!) I've taken up house/pet sitting to have more animals in my life and the ability to work from [your] home on my passion (illustration) part of the week. I work 3 days per week at Clean Paws Dog Grooming in Byron Bay, it's my day job which I also love. Please note I prefer sits within a 30 minute radius of Byron Arts and Industrial Estate.

I am 34yo, not currently in a relationship and focused on building my small business (Hound Town) and establishing myself in the children's book industry. House/pet sitting is part of the plan which will help give me some financial freedom to make my dream of being a full-time illustrator a reality.

I have extensive experience looking after cats and dogs. I grew up in a house with many animals including dogs, cats, birds, mice, fish, turtles and more. I have been house/pet sitting since August 2022 so have almost 6 months of experience with other people's pets including a duck, chickens and a horse (and plants!)

I'm looking forward to taking care of your furry ones, and I love cats and dogs equally. I will treat your home and pets with care, courtesy, respect and love. Happy to take the dog/s for walks and follow the routine they are used to. Your pet's well-being is the most important thing and I always go the extra mile to ensure they are happy and as well looked after as possible. 

We can have a meet and greet before locking anything in so you feel confident I’m the right fit for you. I will be working from home during the stay so having a nice space to work from is definitely a factor I consider - a tidy, light-filled, clean, uncluttered space is ideal for me.
