I am a full-time Master’s student at the University of Sydney and a lifelong animal lover. Since I was a child, I have loved all kinds of animals, from wildlife and farm animals to companion animals. In fact, my dream job when I was young was to become a zookeeper.

My passion for animals has also shaped my studies. My research focuses on how technology can support and improve animal welfare, because I truly enjoy working with animals and care deeply about their wellbeing.

I had my first dog when I was seven years old. Now, I have one dog and one cat, and I have cared for both of them for over 10 years since they were just three months old. Living with animals for so many years has given me a strong sense of responsibility, patience, and attentiveness to their needs. As I am currently living overseas and away from my own furry friends, pet sitting gives me a meaningful opportunity to spend time with animals while providing them with caring and companionship. 

I tailor walks to each dog’s age, energy level, health, and usual routine. For senior dogs, I offer gentle walks at their own pace and never force them to walk further than they are comfortable with. For younger or more energetic dogs, I am happy to take longer walks to ensure they have enough exercise and toilet breaks.

Safety is always my priority: dogs will be kept securely on a lead during walks to reduce the risk of running off or encountering unsafe situations. In the unlikely event of an emergency or if I notice anything concerning, I would contact the owner immediately and follow their preferred veterinary instructions.
