Hello, I’m Nell!

I’m a qualified, experienced animal carer and behaviourist, and a former animal shelter volunteer. Since 2017, I’ve had the absolute joy of providing home dog boarding, doggy daycare, adventure walks and home visits for pets and their families.

I feel incredibly fortunate to build wonderful relationships with both pets and their owners. My aim is simple: to make your fur baby feel safe, happy, loved and completely comfortable while you’re away.

A Holiday Home Away From Home

My home boarding service provides 24-hour care, giving pet parents peace of mind knowing their four-legged family member is being cared for throughout their stay.

I’m particularly happy to welcome dogs who may be nervous about staying away from home or who have individual needs that require a little extra attention.

Every guest is treated as an individual. I enjoy getting to know their personality, routines, likes, dislikes and little quirks. Giving attention for them in the same way I would want my own fur babies to be cared for.

Pats, chats and cuddles are given throughout the day or we might:

• Play games

• Enjoy gentle music and quiet time

• Laze on the porch or snoop in the yard

• Explore beautiful Gippsland walking locations, wandering or romping along the lake or beach

• Go on adventures by car. And yes — we sometimes have karaoke road trips!

• Or simply have a lovely nap when that's what they feel like doing!

We often go on driving adventures to beautiful walking locations, and appropriate restraints are provided and used while travelling in the car.

Walks and adventures are tailored to each dog and can be approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour or longer, depending on your pet's needs, abilities and your instructions. Dogs can be walked on or off lead where appropriate and with the owner's permission.

• Photos & Diary Updates

I know how much you miss your pets when you're away!

For each service, I send photos and little diary

 moments so you can see what your fur baby has been up to, who their new friends are and all the wonderful things they have achieved during their stay.

It's my way of helping you feel like you're still part of their little holiday.

• Plenty of Space to Play — or Nap!

Our large yard is fully fenced, and visiting pets are monitored and cared for throughout their stay.

Dogs can enjoy the choice of playing or relaxing inside or outside, depending on what makes them comfortable.

• Sleeping Arrangements

All pet guests sleep inside at night.

I encourage owners to bring their pet's familiar bedding, leads and/or walking harnesses to help them feel comfortable and settled.

• Food, Special Diets & Medication

You provide your pet's usual food so their normal routine can be maintained.

Preparation, feeding and special dietary requirements are managed as needed with 5-star care and cleanliness.

Medication or other treatments can also be administered according to your instructions.

I always appreciate a brief personal instruction list for your pet, including their:

- Likes and dislikes

- Daily routine

- Quirks and personality

- Feeding requirements

- Walking preferences

- Sleeping habits

- Medication or treatment requirements

- Anything else that will help me make their stay comfortable.

The more I know about your pet, the better I can care for them. 

• A Careful & Considered Approach

At times, bookings may overlap during check-in and check-out, meaning your dog may share their stay with other guests.

I take particular care during the initial enquiry and meet & greet to make sure the dogs are suitable to stay together.

Before confirming a booking, I'm always happy to discuss any concerns, special requirements or questions you may have.

For everyone's safety and wellbeing, I only accept vaccinated and healthy pets.

I also have insurance covering animal medical care, public liability and accidental damage.

• Convenient Check-In & Check-Out

Times can be arranged between: 8:00am – 6:00pm

I do provide collection and home return at no additional fee within 25 km of Bruthen.

Changes and confirmations can easily be made through the Pawshake messaging app or website.
