Hi! I’m Ciara (pronounced Keeruh — it’s Irish! ☘️), and I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I absolutely love spending time with animals, getting to know their individual personalities and, of course, giving them plenty of attention, cuddles and love!

I’ve cared for the pets of family and friends while they’ve been away, and I’ve also had some wonderful experiences looking after animals overseas. While travelling through the Caribbean, I spent six weeks living and working at Iguana Dog Resort in Aruba as part of a Workaway. I helped care for around 20 dogs at a time, including holiday pets as well as longer-term rescue dogs waiting to be adopted. It was a pretty amazing experience — and definitely confirmed that I’m happiest when surrounded by dogs!

I also have extensive experience caring for homes. I spent six months managing a luxury Airbnb in a very remote part of Colombia, where I lived on the property and was responsible for cleaning, maintenance, repairs, unexpected problems and making sure guests had a wonderful stay. Living somewhere so remote taught me to be responsible, resourceful and calm when things don't go to plan.

I currently work full-time in sustainability for a large consulting firm and work from home most of the time. This means I have lots of flexibility and can spend plenty of time with your pets rather than leaving them alone all day. I’m clean, tidy, respectful and very conscious that your home is your space. Most importantly, I’m careful and attentive when it comes to animals and will always put their safety and wellbeing first.

I’m happy caring for dogs, cats and other friendly domestic pets, and I’m very happy to follow your usual routines — whether that means walks, playtime, feeding, medication, cuddles or simply keeping them company.

I’m based in Melbourne and am currently enjoying exploring different parts of the city, so I’m particularly flexible about location. I’d love to meet you and your pets beforehand so you can show me their routine and we can make sure we’re a good fit.
