For the first time in my life, I don't have a furry friend at home, and honestly, I miss it. Quick summary of experience: 🐾 animal foster carer 🐾 puppies (4 weeks onwards) 🐾 seniors (10+ years) 🐾 cats of all ages (and health conditions) 🐾 post-surgery care & medication 🐾 separation anxiety Details: I've had animals my entire life, including dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs, fish, turtle doves, budgies, cockatiels and lorikeets. ⛑️I have fostered animals through organisations such as Safe Haven Animal Rescue. This included caring for three very young puppies at once that required round-the-clock attention, bottle feeding, vet trips, socialisation, puppy training, lots of patience, and plenty of love before they were ready for their forever homes. I have also pet sat for friends and family countless times. ❤️‍🩹I occasionally travel for work to places such as the Philippines, where I assist a local community rescue group that cares for stray cats in the area. I help feed them, comfort them, find them homes and when necessary, work to get them vet care. 🐈🐱For kitties, I understand how unsettling a new environment can be. My home is calm and secure, they'll have time and space to get comfortable and receive affection when they're ready. 🐕‍🦺🏞️I'm an active person, which translates well for doggos! Depending on their personality and needs, that might mean long walks, games of tug-of-war, hide-and-seek, swims in the pool, or even a car ride to the bayside for an adventure. 🐕🐶I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. I also have experience caring for animals post-surgery, including administering medications and following recovery plans.
