For the first time in my life, I don't have a furry friend at home, and I'd love to change that by opening my home to your furry family member while you're away.

I've had animals my entire life, including dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs, fish, turtle doves, budgies, parrots, and lorikeets. 

Over the years, I've pet sat for friends and family and have formally fostered animals through organisations such as Safe Haven Animal Rescue. This included caring for three very young puppies at once that required round-the-clock attention, bottle feeding, vet trips, socialisation, puppy training, lots of patience, and plenty of love before they were ready for their forever homes.

I occasionally travel for work to places such as the Philippines, where I spend my free time assisting a local community rescue group that cares for the stray cats in the area. I help feed them, take counts and look out for any new strays or known strays that may need veterinary care. I take every opportunity to play with, care for, and spend time with animals of all shapes and sizes. 

I'm an active person, which translates well for doggos! Depending on their personality and needs, that might mean long walks, games of tug-of-war, hide-and-seek, swims in the pool, or even a car ride to the bayside for an adventure. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. I also have experience caring for animals post-surgery, including administering medications and following recovery plans. 

I work from home most days and have a fair bit of flexibility when it comes to availability, drop-off and pick-up times. 

For kitties, I understand how unsettling a new environment can be. My home is calm, quiet, and extremely secure, allowing them the time and space they need to settle in comfortably while receiving affection on their terms.
