About me 🐾

Hi, I’m Rachel! I live in Bondi with my boyfriend, Davy, and we’re both huge dog lovers. I’ve had dogs throughout my life and have experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes and personalities, including puppies and senior dogs. Davy is also a dog lover and previous dog owner, so there’s always someone around who is comfortable and experienced with dogs.

Since moving to Australia from Ireland, I’ve really missed having a dog around and would love to spend some of my free time looking after dogs and giving them a safe, comfortable and loving home while their owners are away. We’re both responsible, trustworthy and understand that every dog has their own personality, routine and needs. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual feeding, walking and sleeping routines and give them as much attention and care as they’re used to at home.

We also both work from home, so your dog will have plenty of company throughout the day and won’t be left alone for extended periods. If we do need to pop out, your dog would generally be left alone for no more than 1–2 hours.

Our home 🏡

We live in a spacious apartment in Bondi with a balcony and a large enclosed shared garden within our apartment complex.

We’re also conveniently located close to Dickson Park, Waverley Park and Bondi Beach, so there are plenty of options for walks and outdoor time. I’m happy to tailor walks and exercise to suit your dog, whether they’re energetic and love a longer walk or are older and prefer a slower pace. I typically aim for around 30–60 minutes, depending on your dog’s age, energy levels and usual routine. I’m also happy to adjust this for dogs who need shorter or longer walks.

I can also administer oral medication if your dog needs it, following your instructions carefully.

I know it can be difficult leaving your dog with someone new, so I’ll always make their comfort and wellbeing a priority. I’m also very happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand so you can get to know me, and I can learn more about your dog and what they need while you’re away.
