Hi, I’m Theo. I grew up in Johannesburg with dogs always around the house, and I’m now studying at the University of Sydney. I’m out walking most days and would love the company. I’ve looked after dogs for family and friends for years, regular walks for neighbours back home, weeks-long stays when family travelled, and the odd puppy that needed extra patience. I’m comfortable with anxious pups, puppies still figuring out the leash, and everything in between. I only host vaccinated, healthy pets.

My walks usually run 45 to 60 minutes, longer if your dog has the energy for it. I’m based near Bondi, so the promenade and Bondi to Bronte coastal walk are my regular routes, along with quieter loops through Tamarama and the back streets when it’s busy. Happy to stick with whatever your dog already knows. With energetic dogs I’ll keep the pace up and find off-leash spots like Dudley Page Reserve where it’s allowed. With nervous dogs I take it slower, stick to quieter routes, and let them set the tone until they trust me.

For home visits and sleepovers I follow the routine you already have. Same feeding times, same walk times, same spots they sleep and eat. I top up water, clean up after them, give them proper company rather than leaving them alone for long stretches, and lock up properly when I head out. If your dog takes medication I’ll stick to the schedule and confirm each dose with you.

If something goes wrong, another dog reacting badly, a sudden noise, signs they’re unwell, anything off, I stay calm and act fast. I’ll get them out of the situation, call you straight away, and if it’s a health issue I’ll take them to your vet or the nearest emergency clinic and keep you updated the whole way. I’d ask for your vet’s details and an emergency contact upfront so there’s no scrambling if it ever comes to that.

I’m available most mornings and afternoons during the week and flexible on weekends. Before anything starts I’d love to meet you both, hear what your dog likes and doesn’t like, and figure out the routes and pace that work best. You’ll get photo updates on every walk so you can see how they’re getting on.
