Who Am I?

Hello, my name is Sara, I'm 22 and I absolutely adore dogs! I grew up with dogs in my family home and always jump at the opportunity to dog sit for friends or family whenever I can. As an online university student, my schedule is extremely flexible and can be altered to best suit your needs. I am open and excited to help out in any way I can, whether it be short or long-term dog/house sits, weekly walks or plays, occasional trips to appointments or just casual socialisation!

I am currently a secondary carer for a gorgeous Guide Dog puppy in the Guide Dogs Queensland Raiser program. Due to the rigorous nature of the program, I am very comfortable with a wide range of temperaments and can aid in obedience if requested. I hope to continue in this program as a primary Raiser to improve the lives of visually impaired clients with their own Guide Dog.

Experience

I find it so rewarding to look after dogs; I can help them by providing obedience training (tricks, behavioural correction, functional tasks), opportunities for play, basic grooming (brushing, health checks) and lots of cuddles! In return, they are the best companions, get me out of the house for walks and truly brighten my day. I have extensive experience looking after my friends' two Dashchunds, my mum's Schnauzer cross, my dad's Poodle cross and my Lab guide puppy in training. I am comfortable with pet sitting for extended periods of time and love to develop a routine with any dog I look after, no matter the time frame.

Location

I live in Bli Bli, a central neighbourhood with lots of greenery, a dog park close by and backing onto several hiking trails. If your dog is a sucker for a puppachino, there are also lots of cafes within walking distance!

My home has a medium sized yard with grass and plenty of space to run around. It is fully fenced and the gardens are blocked off from the main area.

Services

I really like to customise my services for each client as every dog is different. Walks can go anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour, depending on fitness level and what the pup is used to. I can also split walks up into smaller stints spread throughout the day if your dog is more likely to have bursts of energy. If you are comfortable, I would love to take them to the dog park for some socialisation and enrichment play. If you have two pups, I am happy to walk them at the same time.

Due to my flexible schedule, I have full availability and can work around you. I am able to supervise pets 24/7 if necessary, and would only leave them for short periods of time on rare occasions.
