Hello! I might be new to Pawshake, but I have loved animals for as long as I can remember.

I am a mature, calm, patient and trustworthy person based in Berwick. I work casually as an aged care support worker, so my availability can be quite flexible. I am generally available during mornings, afternoons and evenings, depending on my work schedule.

I have had many different pets throughout my life, including cats, dogs, birds, rats and even hedgehogs. I currently have a rescued ginger cat of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone reliable and caring when you need to leave your pet at home.

I also volunteer with two wildlife rescue groups, helping injured and vulnerable wildlife. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and would love to use my free time to help other pet owners feel confident that their animals are safe, comfortable and well cared for.

Home visits

My standard home visit is approximately 30 minutes. During a visit I can:

• Feed your pet and refresh their water
• Clean food and water bowls
• Clean litter trays or tidy up after your pet
• Spend time playing with them or simply keeping them company
• Check that they are happy, comfortable and safe
• Give medication if your pet is comfortable with it and the medication is straightforward to administer
• Bring in your mail
• Water a reasonable number of indoor or outdoor plants if required

I am happy to care for many different types of animals, not only cats and dogs.

Dog walking

My standard dog walk is approximately 30 minutes. I am happy to walk around your local neighbourhood or take your dog to suitable nearby walking areas, depending on what they are used to and what you prefer.

I will always follow your instructions regarding leads, other dogs, traffic, treats and anything else that is important for your dog's safety.

House sitting

I can also stay overnight in your home to look after your pets while you are away. I will follow their normal feeding, walking and bedtime routine, keep them company, and make sure your home is left secure.

I will lock doors and windows as instructed, bring in mail if needed, and make sure your pets are safe and comfortable overnight. I am happy to discuss arrival and departure times with you beforehand so we can find an arrangement that suits your pets and their routine. 

My area

I am based in Berwick, which has plenty of quiet residential streets, walking paths, parks and green spaces suitable for dog walking.

Unfortunately, I cannot look after pets in my own home, but I am very happy to visit them in their own familiar environment.

Every animal is different, so I am always happy to meet you and your pet beforehand and talk about their routine, personality and individual needs. I hope to meet you and your animals soon!
