Hello!

My name is Sarah, and I am offering dog-walking and pet-sitting services! I am an animal care attendant with professional experience in both a pet boarding facility and in veterinary care. For a little bit about me, I am a pre-veterinary student from Canada and I recently graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelors of Science in Animal Biology. I am in Leeming on a Working Holiday Visa. I came here to travel for a few months while I await my veterinary school application results, and because my partner is a veterinary student at Murdoch University. I am eager to continue working with pets while I'm here! For a general breakdown of my animal care experience:

- Supervisor of Animal Care for a doggy daycare/ pet boarding centre. In this role I was responsible for overseeing the care of up to 90 dogs and 20 cats, ensuring their safety and well-being. I have worked with dogs in individual and group settings, and with dogs of anxious/reactive temperaments. 

- Veterinary Assistant at multiple veterinary clinics, where I worked with dogs, cats and exotic small animals (lizards, rabbits, birds)

- Dog walker in my home neighbourhood.

- Volunteer dog show trainer & handler for local student run dog show

- Volunteer roles with various species including horses, beef cattle, chickens & pigs.

These roles have allowed me to become confident in working with animals of any temperament or size, recognizing behavioural stress signals, basic animal first aid and obedience training techniques. I am trained on administering subcutaneous, oral, and topical medications to cats and dogs.

I can provide walks, daily check-ins, and pet/house sitting catered to your pets specific needs. I look forward to spoiling your pets with the love and care they deserve!
