Hey!

I'm Peta and with my adorable 11 year old Kelpie Lulu, we're hopefully going to be your pets new best friends!

A litle about me:

I'm 34, active, caring, calm and considerate. I have always loved animals, espcially dogs and horses. When i was in my early 20's i was lucky enough to follow that passion and obtain work as both a generalist (small animal) and specialist veterinary nurse (equine). Although I no longer work with animals, my passion and love for them has remained.

Since leaving the veterinary industry i have worked within various organisations primarily within HR/Injury Management/Health and Wellbeing, such as NSW Police and the Australian Defence Force.

Outside of work i'm quite active and social, playing netball, reading, learning to ride dressage and enjoying a good surf when the weather is warmer. I am also in the midst of completing a Master of HR and Law... just because!

Another passion of mine is running.... so if you have a larger dog or an active breed who loves to run, let me know when booking as i'd happily take them for a run, i generally run anywhere from 3kms to 12kms.

So.. why have I joined pawshake? Many reasons... but mainly i now have the time. I have decided to take a break from corporate life to slow down, enjoy the little things and do more of what brings me joy.... which brings me to Lulu...

A little about Lulu:

Lulu is 11 years young black and tan Kelpie who has become accostomed to the finer things in life! She is incredibly affectionate and makes friends easily with her warm, loving, calm nature.

Lulu isnt a stranger to sharing her toys or her time having voluntered as a 'therapy dog' supporing children in secure care to open up in therapy and to brighten the days of those in hospital. Although she (and i) loved our visits, she is also taking a break and is looking for furry friends she can just play, laze and run with instead. Although i am home all day with her, i know she would love to have some regular friends over to play with or to run around with at the park!

She is an excellent teacher and her and I would be more than happy to assist you with basic training if required but since lulu is getting older, we would prefer that your furry friend be vaccinated, housetrained and mind their P's and Q's, and play well with others.
