Hi! I’m Mia 👋 I’m 19 years old and currently studying a Bachelor of Animal Science, with the goal of pursuing a career working with animals. I’m also completing my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and have gained plenty of hands-on animal care experience through my studies, veterinary nursing and working with animals.

I’ve grown up around animals and have experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, horses and livestock. My veterinary nursing experience has also given me confidence caring for animals with different medical and behavioural needs, including administering medications and following specific feeding or care instructions.

I decided to start pet sitting because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, and I know how important it is to have someone reliable looking after your pets when you can’t be there. I love getting to know each animal’s individual personality and routine and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m also more than happy to send plenty of photos and updates!

🐾 My availability

I’m generally available most afternoons and evenings, with some morning availability depending on my university and work schedule. My availability does change, so I’m always happy to discuss dates and work around your pet’s usual routine where possible.

🏡 Home visits

My standard home visits are approximately 30 minutes and can include feeding, fresh water, toilet breaks, playtime, cuddles, cleaning up after your pet and administering medication if required. Longer visits can also be arranged.

While I’m there, I’m also happy to do little things around the house such as bringing in the mail, putting bins out or watering plants.

🐕 Dog walking

My standard dog walks are around 30 minutes, with longer walks available if needed. I can walk your dog around their familiar neighbourhood or take them to suitable local walking areas and parks. I’ll tailor the walk to your dog’s age, fitness level, personality and normal routine.

🏠 House & pet sitting

I can also provide overnight house and pet sitting in your home, allowing your pets to stay somewhere they already know and feel comfortable. I’ll discuss my work and university schedule with you beforehand so you know when I’ll be home with your pets.

I take the responsibility of staying in someone else’s home seriously. I’ll keep doors, windows and gates secured, safely look after keys, follow any alarm or security instructions and make sure your home is kept tidy and left as I found it.

Whether you need someone for a walk, a quick visit or to care for your pets while you’re away, I’ll do my best to keep their normal routine and treat them with the same care and attention I’d give my own. 🐶🐱🐴🐾
