Hi, I'm Ashleigh. I have grown up around animals my whole life, both my parents are from farming backgrounds, and I myself, grew up in country Western Australia. I have lived in Brisbane for about 6 years now. I have 2 indoor only cats and a staffy x greyhound pup. I have studied vet nursing, so I am well versed in handling all different types of pets, big and small. My drive to be a pet sitter is being able to provide the confidence that your beloved pet will be well looked after. Having all my family in WA means when I travel, I need to rely on someone to watch my pets, and unfortunately, sometimes friends are unavailable.&nbsp;
I work full time in the city but have my own car and license so getting around it relatively easy for me. I also live with my partner so being away from home for the night isn't an issue as he can watch our pets.&nbsp;

I’m brand new to pawshake and the pet sitting community and I’m looking forward to working with you and your lovely pets. 
I’m originally from Christchurch NZ and recently relocated to QLD in October 24' with my partner and our two gorgeous black Labradors, Hiwa &amp; Baz. We are stoked to be here and find out all about the pet friendly spaces Australia has to offer! 
As a dog Mum myself, I understand the demands of a busy lifestyle, I know how challenging it can be to ensure our pets receive the attention and stimulation they deserve and the angst feeling that comes when we have to leave them behind for work trips or holidays. That's why I’m eager to assist fellow pet owners by providing attentive care for your beloved animals.

SERVICES
(Calendar updated regularly: availability for house sitting in based on a fortnightly schedule as my partner works 7 on 7 off and I am only available to stay overnight when he is at home with our own pets, thank you for your understanding). 

Dog Walking: 
(30-60mins) 
Max 2 dogs per walk. 
If you are a 2+ dog household and would like all your pets to go for walkies please make a 2nd booking as I can only manage 2 dogs per walk atm. 

Pet Sitting/Home-stays:
Heading away for the weekend? 
Going abroad for a few weeks or more? 
I’ll ensure your pets are safe and happy in the comfort of their familiar environment and routines and I’ll keep your house secure and tidy while you’re away. 
As mentioned, I am a working dog mama myself so your pets will be alone during weekdays for no longer than 6 -8hours. I will be with your babies  in the mornings and evenings and will stay at your home overnight keeping your pets company and providing ample snuggles and belly rubs   (note: my dogs will not be in attendance) 

Home Visits: 
Generally completed early morning 6.00am-9.00am and afternoon-evening 3.00pm-7.00pm. 
I can come 1x or 2x/day and at short notice, if you're stuck at the airport, unexpected plans etc, no fuss, give me a bell. 
During home visits I will replenish your pets water and food bowls, give them medicine if required, let them outside for a stretch and toilet break. Clean up their droppings and have play time and cuddles. It's not essential to have access to inside your property if you are not comfortable. If you have outdoor pets or pet doors installed so your animals can come and go freely, I only need instructions on feeding/ medicine and supplies to be left somewhere accessible. 
Home visits are around 10-15 mins for cats, birds and reptiles and visits with dogs are usually up to 60mins or longer if your pet needs/likes lots of stimulation and attention. That's ok with me, I like cuddles and attention too ️

I've always had a deep love for animals and genuinely enjoy spending my time caring for them. Unfortunately, I am unable to have an animal at home due to renting, so this is the next best thing! (I’m always the person who says hello to dogs before humans)&nbsp;
Becoming a pet sitter allows me to combine that passion with providing owners peace of mind, knowing their pets are safe, loved, and well cared for while they’re away. I currently volunteer with the RSPCA, where I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for animals of different personalities such as shy, cheeky, dramatic, and everything in between.&nbsp;

While you are away I'm more than happy to send updates and photos, for total peace of mind, I offer short/long walks as well as visiting to check in/hang out and having sleepovers with your pets when needed.&nbsp;

I am a motivated animal lover who loves the outdoors and has quite flexible availibility. In the last 6 years I've travelled Australia and New Zealand and now settled down in Brisbane together with my partner. During various woofing I enjoyed the company of a big variety of animals and I realised I wanted to spend more time with animals again once I settled down. I love giving cuddles and playing with animals, also up for jogging together with your dog if its used to that.
We have got a nice big old Queenslander we share with a couple of people. We do have 2 energetic and loving dogs who love cats- they've grown up with 4 of them- but are not good with other dogs. So I can host 1 or 2 cats or other small animals that I'd mainly keep in the spare room when it's busy in the house. At quiet times they can explore the house if you give permission.&nbsp;
