Top cities for house sitting in Australia

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Springbrook QLD home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Springbrook QLD.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Springbrook QLD home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I am a caring and dependable animal lover who truly enjoys spending time with pets and making sure they feel comfortable and happy while their owners are away. My motivation to be a pet sitter is simple: I love animals and enjoy being around them. I understand that pets are part of the family, and I always treat them with patience, kindness, and respect.
I have hands-on experience with pets and currently have a cat who has been part of my life for ten years. Before my cat, I also cared for a guinea pig, which taught me the importance of gentle handling, routine, and paying close attention to an animal’s needs. Over the years, I have also helped friends by looking after their pets while they are away, making sure they are fed, exercised, and given plenty of attention. In addition, I sometimes visit animal shelters, where I take dogs for walks and help give them the care they need.
As a pet sitter, I offer relaxed, loving, and reliable care tailored to each pet’s personality and routine. I do my best to make every animal feel safe and at home.

I’m a recently graduated Veterinary Technology student with 2–3 years of hands-on experience working in the veterinary industry back home in Singapore. I’ve spent plenty of time around animals and truly love being in their company.
Caring for our furry friends brings me so much joy, and simply spotting a dog on a walk can brighten my whole day.
If you're unable to walk your pet for any reason, I’d be more than happy to step in. I can take your pet on enriching walks where they can enjoy the outdoors, engage in some fun sniffing, and stretch their legs in a safe and loving environment.
I’ll care for your furry companion as if they were my own—offering them attention, protection, and lots of love. All I ask is that you provide a leash and some poo bags, and let me know a bit about your pet’s personality. Every animal is unique, just like people, and knowing their quirks helps me tailor the experience to what they love most.
Thank you for considering me to walk your beloved pet. I hope to bring plenty of tail wags, happy trots, and joy to their day!

Hi everyone! My name is Arlia and I am 21! I work full time and unfortunately am not able to have pets in my rental, I like animals so much so this is a great way to get my furry fix while staying fit and active :) I have had animals my whole life ranging from horses, birds, dogs, cats, fish and bunnies so I am well equipped with the knowledge of a variety of animals.
I am open for dog walking on the weekends or after my work hours during the week if you contact me. Please let me know what type of animal you have, any behaviour or health issues etc...
I am open to come and check on your furry friends on weekends and afternoons and am experienced with a range of animals so if you need your horses fed, your dog checked on etc I am your girl.

If you are looking for a pet sitter/house sitter I am your man. I've lived on the GC as a radiographer for 10 years. I also teach reformer pilates. I'm the go to pet sitter amongst my mates so thought why not expand. I would love the opportunity to look after your pet. You can have leave knowing your pet and home will be cared for as if it/they were my own. As I'm working on the coast I most likely need your accommodation to be in the vicinity of Robina, and ideally near the beach as I love surfing . Dogs that love the beach are a bonus! Look forward to hearing from you. And if there is anymore you would like to know about me, please reach out. I don't really have any specifications about the type of per I would be looking after, I will most likely assess on a case by case bases. Thanks for taking the time to check out my profile.

Hey!!! My name is Jean and I love animals, from the process of feeding and walking them to understanding and analyzing the behavior of our pets, which will help reverse aggressive behavior to make our little friends very friendly and loved without any fear of some other person. If the training service is not required to make our friend more docile, I will be happy to take care of him and become good friends. No matter the size or age, I will be very aware of our friend and in communication with his owner whenever required.I am not only fond of dogs, but also of cats.I currently left my dog George in Peru and I am in Australia wanting to provide all that affection that is absent for the moment to his dog that I will have in charge, he will never lack attention and affection as well as distraction on the walks that I will take with them.I have availability in the afternoon and evening since 1pm until 9pm, either walking your cocky guy or staying home with your cocky guy and I will be reporting to you every 30 minutes on the status of your pet.I can walk your conceited person around his home or as you let me know the places where he usually walks.I can offer training to your cocky if you let me know.

Hello fellow pet lovers! I'm Ryan, a 47-year-old dedicated and passionate pet sitter living in Currumbin, Queensland. With a heart full of love for all creatures, I'm here to provide top-notch care for your furry or feathered family members while you're away on business or holidays. This allows your pet/s to stay in the comfort of their own home and maintain their usual routine.
About Me:
I've been an avid animal enthusiast my entire life, absolutely adoring all animals. They seem to reciprocate that love, as I've always had a strong connection with them from an early age. Animals pick up on a person’s energy fast, and I'm grateful that they love the positive energy I radiate. Growing up on a farm surrounded by a variety of animals, I developed an authentic love and understanding of the animal kingdom. From my first puppy as a toddler to the companionship of my own horse as a kid, those early experiences shaped a genuine affinity for all living beings. As I got older, I took responsibility for my own dogs, budgies, cockatiels, an aviary, and most recently, spent 17 wonderful years in love with my beautiful tortoiseshell cat, Lola. In my adult life, I've often been asked to house sit and look after friends’ dogs and cats. I also love underwater animals as I am an avid scuba diver, with the very chilled turtles being my favourite animals to dive with; such chilled animals.
Services

Cat Comfort: Feline friends need their own brand of TLC, and I'm here to provide it! From engaging play sessions to cosy cuddle time with lots of pats, your cat is in good hands.
All-Inclusive Care: I'm happy to care for pets of all shapes and sizes. From feeding and grooming to administering medications, you can trust me to handle it all.
Why Choose Me?
Passionate: Your pets will receive genuine love and attention during every visit, as being around animals fills me with such joy and happiness.
Reliability: Punctuality and reliability are inbuilt within me with everything I do. You can count on me to be there when you need me, ensuring your pets' routines stay consistent.
100% Flexibility: I work for myself online and have the utmost flexibility to do my work at my choosing, so I can stay with your pets for as long as you need and give them the attention they deserve. While allowing them to continue their normal routines in their own homes while you are away.
Proven Trustworthiness: While this may be a new pet sitting profile, let my outstanding Airbnb reviews speak for themselves. With 50 amazing reviews, hosts consistently praise my positive demeanor, responsible conduct, and respect for someone else's home.

"Ryan is a dreamy guest. Easygoing, friendly, tidy and polite. He took great care of the property and left it very clean. It was a pleasure to have Ryan as a guest and I highly recommend to other host to welcome him."
"Ryan was a great guest. Excellent communication, nice and quiet around the complex and left the apartment lovely and tidy. Would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Ryan to future airbnb hosts."

Connecting with Our Furry Friends: A Personal Bond
One of my cherished pastimes is visiting the dog beach in Palm Beach. You'll often find me there, immersing myself in the simple joy of dogs playing in the sand and water. It's a natural connection that draws them to me for some playtime and pats, a testament to the positive energy I bring to our interactions.
This ability to connect with animals has been a constant theme throughout my life. Many pet owners have noticed how their pets respond positively to me, even those who are usually reserved around strangers. Cats, with their independent nature, seem to sense a kindred spirit in me.
This authentic love and understanding will form the core of my approach to pet sitting. While I may not boast professional credentials, I offer your pets a caregiver driven by passion and a genuine desire to make them feel loved and secure.
House Sitting Extras:
During overnight and extended stays, I am more than happy to look after your house at no extra charge. This includes watering plants, putting out and bringing in bins, and checking the letterbox and other small chores as needed.
Photo Updates:
Stay connected with your pets while you're away! I'll send regular photo updates, capturing the joy and contentment your pets experience in my care.
Safety First:
Your pets' well-being is my top priority. I may not have formal certifications, but rest assured, I am committed to their safety and happiness.
Contact Me Today:
Let's schedule a meet-and-greet to ensure a perfect match between your pets and their new friend... Me. Thank you for considering me. I'm eager to meet your furry family members and provide them with the care and attention they deserve!

I’m a Brit currently living on the Gold Coast, and one of the things I miss most about home is my big fluffy dog — a Caucasian Shepherd / Golden Doodle cross who’s been part of my family for the past seven years. Because of him, I know how much joy, companionship, and comfort dogs bring to our lives, and I’d love the chance to spend time with other pets while I’m here.
I’m very outdoorsy and spend most of my free time by the ocean or out walking, so being able to share that with dogs feels like the perfect fit.
With my shift work and time off, I also have plenty of free hours during the day, which makes me flexible and available when you need me.
I have a car and plan to kit it out so dogs can travel safely and comfortably if needed.

Hey! I’m 26 Gold Coast raised and a huge dog lover who’s always had a soft spot for all animals. Growing up, I was the go to pet sitter for family and friends whether it was walking their pups, feeding their cats, or just hanging out and keeping their pets company. Being around animals has always felt natural to me, and I love getting to spend my time with them.
Looking to house and dog and cat sit, I'm self employed so I'm able to spend longer times with your pet if needed. I'm love taking my sister's pups to the beach and can certainly take yours if they are as well behaved haha.
I’m an honest, reliable person who truly gets how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone. When your pet is with me, you can relax knowing they’re in good hands, getting all the attention, playtime, and cuddles they need. I’ve looked after dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments, and I always take the time to make sure each pet feels comfortable and happy.
I’m excited to meet you and your pet and make sure they feel right at home while you’re away!

Hi everyone, my name is Shannon & I am from New Zealand. I have recently moved to the Gold Cost after travelling Europe with my partner Curtis for 8 months. While over there we pet sit for many people looking after dogs of all sizes & cats in the UK & Spain! I absoutely loved it and loved the bond I created with each animal. I have always been a animal lover from a very young age and grew up in a house hold with a large Rhodesian Ridgeback named Moh, who is a gentle giant. From a young age (14) I was trusted to look after family friends dogs such as Hungarian Vizsla, GSP's Labrador, Chihuahua's, Cocker Spaniel and the odd cat & Maine Coon cat! I have then continued looking after friends, flatmates & families animals, caring for them as if they were my own. I am extremely active, caring, respectful and would love to have a pet of my own but until then Pawshake will give me a slice of that! I am very comfortable with looking after and walking dogs of all shapes & sizes.
I am currently available Monday-Sunday 5am-6pm for dog walking & house check in's. For the right pet & family, I can be flexible with these hours.
The services that I offer are:

 Dog walks - 30mins - 2hrs

House check in's - can stay for as long as you need & also feed the dog/walk them/play with them/bring in mail/water plants
 Administer medication
 Dog washing
