Top cities for house sitting in Australia

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Point Cook VIC home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Point Cook VIC.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Point Cook VIC home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi, my name is Kirstie and I have been working full time as a petsitter. I specialise in going to the client's home and caring for their pet, day and night. Unfortunately I am unable to board animals at my home, so please note this when booking my services.
I have been a volunteer at Seeing Eye Dogs Australia for 6 years in that time I was working within the kennels and the puppy training centre. Some of my duties included grooming and washing puppies, making meals and feeding, walking and cleaning up after them.
I have also completed my Certificate 2 and 3 in Animal Studies. I am a huge animal lover! And a huge believer that animals are the best therapy and i love being around animals. I promise you that I will love and care for your pets as if they are my own!
I specialise in offering day pet sitting, and overnight sitting at your home. I am also available for one-off or regular house visits where I can feed your pet and keep them company. This is suitable for office workers or those working long hours and think that their pet may need some company.
Please immediately let me know if your pet has any allergies or other medical conditions at the meet and greet. This is very important!
My services include providing your pet with a lot of love, playing with them, going for a short walk in your neighbourhood (if required), making sure they go to the toilet and that they have plenty of food and water. I will also bring pet treats for your pets.
House visits will involve these services, as will overnight stays. I will ensure your pet doesn't feel lonely during overnight stays!
I am flexible with time, so please let me know in your inquiry how many nights you're looking for. Please note that an extra fee applies for more than 2 pets.
I have cared for a number of breeds including the following:
• Maine Coon (cat)
• Ragdoll (cat)
• Spoodle
• Whippet puppy
• Pugalier
• Chihuahua
• Staffy
• Rabbits
• And many more!
I work best with small to medium breeds of all ages, and might not be the best fit for a larger dog.
Thank you! I look forward to getting to know you and your fur babies!

I am a Filipino-Kiwi now living in Melbourne. I love dogs with a special affinity for greyhounds, corgis and retrievers. I was a parent of two adopted greyhounds and one golden retriever, and I used to dogsit a corgi in New York City.
I commute from the Inner West so access to public transport is important (for now, until I get a car ).
I'm happy to be booked for the entire day while you're at work. I can give your dog-child tons of cuddles and walks for the day. I can also administer medication if needed. I have experience with my own doggies, giving them vitamins and meds when they were sick.
I live near a dog park so you can also drop off your furry friend for the day. I can take them for playtime in the dog park, a walk around the neighborhood or just hanging in our backyard.
I'm also happy to housesit - water plants, check mail, and of course care for your doggies.
Having been a dog parent, I know what I'm looking for when it comes to someone spending time with my dog child.

Hello everyone. I am Colombian, I am 30 years old, I am an environmental engineer and for things in life I came to study in this beautiful country I have free time after 4pm at weekdays and full time at the weekendes to be a babysitter. I have more than 20 years of experience in the care of pets (dogs and cats), and above all experience in the care of geriatric dogs with motor and kidney disabilities. I am a person in love with animals, I am very sweet and affectionate, so you can be fully confident that your pets will be in the best hands. I live very close to a train station, so I can easily transport myself throughout the city so I can take care of your pets at home, without the need for them to be transported anywhere. I love going for a walk in parks and enjoying the fresh air in the company of a furry friend..

*Police Check Available - Currently house sitting in St. Kilda
Hello there!
I specialize in providing excellent care for your home and beloved pets. With a track record of 5-star reviews from past house sits, I am currently based in Melbourne and work on a casual basis while house sitting.
Despite not having pets growing up in Switzerland, I actively sought opportunities to interact with animals through volunteering at shelters, walking the dogs there and spending time with friends' pets.
Throughout my journey, I've had the pleasure of caring for wonderful pets across Victoria and Queensland. This experience has deepened my skills and understanding of pet care.
I also understand the importance of your home, ensuring I take care of details like turning off lights and air conditioners when not in use. For homes with solar panels, I prioritize using the dishwasher and washing machine during daylight hours and only with full loads.
I'm more than happy to meet in person to see if I'm the right fit for your needs.

Looking forward to the opportunity to care for your furry companions and home!

Best regards,
Jessica

**Please Note:**
- Due to my current housing arrangement, I am unable to accommodate additional pets.
- For overnight stays at your place, my partner Elio will also be present, as we travel together across Australia and have completed all past house sits as a team.
- I have created this profile to explore opportunities in professional pet care beyond regular house sitting.

Happy to provide screenshots of references from past house sits!

Hi, I'm Stevie. I live in North Adelaide area with my partner, and our cat, Hazel.
I will be visiting Melbourne in January 2024. I'll be working in the Seddon/Footscray area, but am open to other locations as well. My dates are flexible. I'd love to do some house/pet sitting, but can also visit and/or walk your pets. I'm familiar with the house sitting process and can easily take care of your pets and home.
I'm a high school teacher. My beloved dog, Tassie, passed away in 2019 and I'm a pretty lost without her, especially on my walks! She spent 11 short years with me before she passed on. She was little, but in her prime she went on long hikes with me.
I've been around dogs and cats (and other animals) my whole life, and have plenty of experience caring for animals, including medication administration, basic grooming and cleaning, and sooo much walking!
