Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Mount Eliza VIC home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Mount Eliza VIC.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Mount Eliza VIC home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I’m a calm, caring, and reliable pet sitter with a genuine love for animals and a strong respect for the trust pet owners place in me. My motivation to be a pet sitter comes from how naturally I connect with animals, particularly those who benefit from a gentle, kind and loving presence. I really value providing care that is genuine and feels safe, low-stress, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs, routines, and personality.
I have previous experience caring for dogs and cats of different ages, temperaments, and energy levels, including pets who are a little anxious, shy, or sensitive to change. I’m very observant and take the time to notice the small things — changes in behaviour, appetite, or mood — so pets feel settled and well cared for while their owners are away. I’m also comfortable following specific instructions around feeding, medication, walks, and routines.
I take pet care seriously and always aim to treat animals as if they were my own. My goal is to provide loving, thoughtful care so you can feel completely at ease knowing your pet is in kind and capable hands.

Animals have always been my biggest passion, and if I could spend every day working with them, I absolutely would. I’ve been house and dog sitting for over five years and genuinely treat every pet as if they’re my own. Whether it’s long walks, cuddles on the couch, sticking to their routine or giving medications if needed, I always go the extra mile to make them feel safe, loved and comfortable while you’re away. I’m currently studying to become an Enrolled Nurse, so being responsible, compassionate and attentive to detail comes naturally to me. Looking after someone’s pets and home is something I never take for granted. One of the most meaningful compliments I’ve received was from an owner who told me their dogs were looking around the house for me after I left. it meant the world to know they’d formed such a special bond. My goal is always to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your pets are happy, loved and in safe hands.

Hi, my name is Ellen. I am 23 years old and am currently working part time at a local cafe! I have been a huge animal lover my whole life, having had 4 dogs, which have been my absolute best friends. I have mainly been around and cared for boxers so I am very comfortable with big dogs who have lots of energy and even the ones with behavioural issues! I eventually want a career in animal care or vet nursing. Although I don't currently have any professional experience in dog sitting I have always been around dogs, big and small, I have looked after many family member and friends dogs while they're away. I would love to gain some professional experience by doing something I love, while being able to help any families who need it. I am keen on pet sitting, overnight and day visits and also dog walking!!
