Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Kalorama VIC home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Kalorama VIC.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Kalorama VIC home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I have always had a deep love and respect for animals, which is what motivates me to work as a pet walker and sitter. In my daily life, I care for my own dog - 4 year old mixed breed Luna! which has given me strong hands-on experience with routines such as walking, feeding and understanding canine behavior. When living in my hometown in Poland, I also cared for cats (Persian and European) and a turtle, and I gained broad experience with various rodent pets (hamsters, chinchillas, mice). This lifelong exposure to different animals has helped me develop patience, attentiveness, and a genuine understanding of diverse pet needs. My motivation to be a pet sitter comes from wanting to provide pets with calm, reliable care while their owners are away. I believe pets feel most comfortable in their own homes, surrounded by familiar smells and routines, which is why I focus on walking and sitting at the owner’s residence. I adapt my care to each pet’s personality, energy level, and daily schedule, ensuring they receive both physical activity and While I do not take pets into my own home, I do expect pets to be up to date on vaccinations to ensure everyone’s safety. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and well cared for, and to give owners complete peace of mind while they are away.

Professional belly rub provider, enthusiastic treat distributor, and long time master of saying “who’s a good boy?” Your pets will feel right at home and will almost certainly decide I am their favourite human in no time.
I grew up in what can only be described as a mini zoo, where animals were part of everyday life rather than just pets. From birds and chickens to mice, rabbits, bees, fish, dogs, cats, and even goats, there was always an animal nearby. If it existed, I probably shared a snack with it, helped care for it, or gave it a comfortable place to rest. Growing up surrounded by so many different animals taught me patience, awareness, and how to understand each animal’s unique personality and needs.
Because of this upbringing, caring for animals feels completely natural to me. I know that every pet has their own routine, preferences, and comfort levels, and I take pride in making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and genuinely cared for while you are away. For me, looking after pets is not just about feeding and walks, but about creating a calm, loving environment where they feel happy, understood, and at ease.
