Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Goodwood SA home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Goodwood SA.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Goodwood SA home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi! My name is Wilson, and I’m someone who truly loves animals. I have cared for pets throughout my life, and I previously owned a Shih Tzu who was part of our family for many years.
I also have extensive hands-on experience looking after other people’s pets. My close friends travel frequently and own five cats and three dogs (a Poodle, a Shiba Inu, a Golden Retriever and a Husky). Every year, I look after their pets around four times, each stay lasting from 1 to 4 weeks. I help with feeding, walking, grooming, basic training, cleaning litter boxes and giving plenty of attention and playtime.I have also taken care of my neighbour’s dog for two weeks, which gave me even more experience with different temperaments and breeds.
I’m trained in pet grooming, and I’ve completed a professional grooming course and received my certificate. This helps me handle different coat types and understand each animal’s physical needs more confidently.
My wife and I live in a quiet townhouse with no children, which provides a calm environment for pets. We also have a private garden with 20–30 square metres of lawn, which is perfect for supervised outdoor play. If needed, we can comfortably host small, medium or large well-behaved dogs for short or long stays.
There are safe walking paths and nearby parks where I often take dogs for their daily exercise. I also have flexible working hours, allowing me to spend plenty of time with the pets under my care.
If you ever need someone to look after your pets while you are away, I am happy to offer:

Home visits
Dog walking
In-home sitting / overnight stays
Boarding at my home (for friendly, well-adjusted pets)

I treat every animal with patience, love and respect, just like they are my own. I look forward to meeting you and caring for your furry family members.

Hello I'm Yasmin,
I am a local Adelaidan who is currently studying Media and Marketing. I work part time for the local government. I have a very strong passion and love for animals & nature.
I have started my official business TailWagAdelaide (Instagram). I currently walk dogs, Monday to Friday (some Saturdays and public holidays). I also pet sit and provide pop in services for any kind of animal, I love them all!
I have experience and references if needed. I have a working with children's check, police check, animal handling certification and animal first aid. I have my own insurance as well. I am looking to ONLY walk and pet sit in the western suburbs (Fulham, Flinders Park, Kidman park, Henley Beach, Grange, West Beach ect) as this is close to where I live. Pop in services can be a little more flexible.
I am really looking forward to adding more dogs to my roaster to walk and pet sit. So please feel free to message me so we can arrange to meet and I can meet your little furry friend

Thankyou,

Yasmin

My name is Ben, I am a 39 year old support worker in high schools for children with learning challenges and I am also a yoga teacher. I love caring for and supporting others and helping people live their best lives.
I have grown up surrounded by and loving many animals. My cat Billie sadly passed away at the age of 15 during Covid. I have another cat Frankie who is 19 years old, very active and social and has never had any health issues. Leroy is my best buddy and we do everything together.
I have a lot of experience helping look after others animals whilst they go away or are in hospital. I enjoy connecting with the pets and taking the utmost care with all of their needs whilst in my care.
I understand it can be scary leaving your pets with someone while they may have specific needs and I'm more than happy to follow every step by step guide to ensure your pets routine stays as on track as possible while you are away. Always happy to meet new clients and their babies first to ensure I'm the right person to care for them.

Hi, my name is Ruth - I am a dual citizen (Australia & British) and I teach piano a few hours a week down south of Adelaide and the rest of the time I home school my 16 year old. I love pottery and walking - and I miss my dog Hamish so I love to borrow other people's pets! I am a non-smoker and rarely drink, as I have a strong focus on healthy living.I enjoy living in a clean and tidy space, and I value the places I have been able to call my temporary home. I will treat your home and belongings with respect, just as I would like to be treated by others (universal law).I understand very well that different pets have different needs, and I will maintain the daily routine of your pets as much as I can while I care for them, and am comfortable administering medications where necessary.Walking in nature is one of my favourite things. My child only spends 50% of the time with me, but for that reason I would need two bedroomed accomodation. Ace my son loves cats (has two of his own at dad's house) and very keen on ice skating. We used to live in the Eco Village in Aldinga and now being nearer Adelaide city is more convenient for us now that Ace has discovered his ice skating passion.I love gardening and animals, and I like to spend my time meditating, doing yoga, reading, messing around on my acoustic guitar and cuddling animals. I have owned my own house both in the UK (twice) and here in Adelaide (once) and I've had many rentals. I have an abundance of good references and have been asked back to the same places to housesit multiple times. I have an Australian National Character Check which includes police check.I would be more than happy to provide frequent updates on both plants and pets if you would be keen. You can travel in confidence knowing that your plants and house are in reliable, safe and capable hands.I'm happy to come and have a chat if you would like to meet me and our dates line up.

About me:
Hello, I'm Blake, a qualified social worker in both Taiwan and Australia.
I enjoy chatting with people, being outdoors, and spending time with dogs. While in Taiwan, I spent much time to caring for my hamster, and I've had two dogs, one since my childhood and another who's now four years old and currently living with my sister. I've also looked after my cousin's four cats previously, so I’m familiar with the different personalities and needs of both dogs and cats.
In Adelaide, I am living in a sharehouse, which means I am unable to take care of a pet overnight at my place. However, I’m more than happy to help with dog walking, home visits, or daytime pet care. I have experience looking after both small and large dogs, and I always ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’d be excited to meet your furry family member and help care for them whenever you need an extra hand!

I am a Mum of two beautiful girls 11 and 9, I also am Mum to a 4 year old stag hound Cross Bull arab, and a one year old Staffy X Bull Arab. We spend alot of our days at the dog park. Ive had dogs my whole life, I actually believe if you dont like dogs are you even a good person? Yes I know that's mean but seriously who doesn't love a dog, the puppy eyes, the excitement, the cheeky personalities and attitudes plus all that smooching and loving
I have two cats, one hates the world, one just uses me for food. I love them both as much as they love me, which some days isn't alot but some days I could just squish them with my love. Also grew up with Cats since childhood, had so many and at one time we had four .
Same as my kids ^ ^ . Love to hate me, hate to love me. They also adore animals, often far too much, sharing food, love and licks with them
I work in the Disability sector and look after two beautiful pooches for my Participants, walking them for 1 hour and another for two hours on each of my shifts, they love me, of course I'm the lady who walks them but I revel in their excitement to see me
I've been doing Disability care for 3 years almost and have a lovely bond for all my Pooches.
I am consistent, trustworthy and always arrive when I say I will.
My work ethic is based on Manners, respect, time management and most of all caring and loving the work I do whether it's personal care, cleaning up or walking a dog.
Dogs are something I've always wanted to work with and now I get this plus I get to help those who trust me to be their support. I love this part of my daily life.
I am happy to take Dogs for walks for 1 hour and will take them local to your area for walking, local ovals for ball throwing. If you prefer beach or other area then this can be discussed.
I am happy to pop in and feed your pooch or feline and also spend a bit of time with them, we can watch a movie or chill in the yard for a while. I can feed them for you and also will clean up any messes.
I cannot offer in home care as I have two dogs, and two cats and you can never tell if personalities will clash. I also cannot offer any long term overnight care due to family commitments and my other work as a carer.

Hello! My name is Shannon. Back in 2018 I had experience with pet sitting as I used to travel to locations all over Adelaide with a friend to look after fur babies (can't help but call them that). It's been too long since I have had the chance to get back into it. And I finally have a decent amount of time to dedicate to being a pet sitter.
My motivation stems from a genuine love for animals, adoring all types. Cats in particular have my heart, they're the sweetest and I've never had a negative experience with a cat or a dog. Growing up I had a few cats which I still really miss.
Most of my experience is with small to medium dogs, and one Great Dane! And many cats.
Im willing to do drop bys to make sure the animals are fed, played with and walked, I'm also wanting to do overnight stays, as I love the responsibilities that come with looking after a pet. Making sure they have someone there, especially when I've built up the trust. I'd have one myself but I just can't financially justify that yet! So the privilege of taking care of a pet and giving you as an owner the peace of mind, that they are safe and happy (will always send pictures) is fulfilling enough.
I have a lot of spare time, and all the attention in the world to give to your pets. I'm always 15-30 minutes early once a schedule has been set, as it can give me time to get to know both you and your pet. I'm so keen to learn the different personalities that come with any breed.

A dedicated and compassionate pet sitter, I provide personalized care to ensure your pets feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. With experience handling a variety of animals, including horses, dogs, cats, birds, and small mammals, I adapt to each pet’s unique personality and needs. My services include feeding, walking, administering medications, and providing ample playtime and cuddles. I prioritize maintaining your pet’s routine to minimize stress and keep them comfortable.

Happy to do any general yard maintenance required or feed other pets (birds, rabbits, etc). Work during the day (excluding weekends) so will walk, feed and care for your pets in the morning and afternoon. Happy to accommodate any other services that may need doing such as lawns.

Whether it’s a short day visit or an extended stay, I treat your pets like family, ensuring their well-being is my top priority. I am reliable, punctual, and communicative, offering regular updates and photos to give you peace of mind. Your home is treated with the utmost respect and care during my visits. Trust me to provide the loving attention and reliable care your furry (or feathered) friends deserve.

Look forward to meeting you and your loved ones soon.

Hi my name is Viviana I'm 29 years old I'm from Chile and I came here to study english and improve my communication skills.I am a dietician nutritionist and I have a diploma in natural medicine, I am a lover of nature, knowing and respecting every aspect of it. I grew up in the countryside, in the south of my country, surrounded by lots of vegetation and many animals. Since I was little I learned respect and love for nature and animals. I like to read, take walks in parks or the beach, ride a bike, swim, contemplate the majesty of nature such as sunrises, sunsets, forests, waterfalls, mountains and learn new things.I consider myself a petlover especially a catlover. As a child I have respected animals and I have learned about their care, how to feed them, be empathic and manage an appropriate environment for them.I am very close and affectionate with pets, I feel very happy being around cats, dogs and all kinds of animals. I enjoy spending time playing with them, making them expend energy, petting them, and giving them my affection. I have the ability to assist pets with their basic needs for their well-being such as food, entertainment, grooming and care for they well being.I have a lot of experience taking care of cats and dogs in their homes, giving them what is necessary for their care and entertainment. I also have experience walking dogs, going to parks to play and have a nice time.I would like to be a pet sitter because I know I have the skills to do a proper job and I miss sharing time with pets since I can't have one here. I feel that I need to be closer to cats and dogs and at the same time I feel that they will like to spend some time with me... They will certainly have fun.If you need my services o you need more information about me or my job yo can contact me.I'm available to pet visits, home care and dog walking.

I have been a dog parent for years and completely understand the importance of a pet in an owner's life. Pets only understand the language of love and I have seen it when I was petting my own or was baby sitting my friends' or neighbours' pets.
Though coming from an IT background, I realized it at the age of 40, what my real passion was. I want to spend time and get and give unconditional love from these species who communicate loud without words. A family who's passionate for dogs, we all are looking forward to welcome your fur baby with open arms. For the comfort of the pet, I am absolutely fine visiting the owner's home. My home is equipped with a gated backyard providing enough space for the pet to walk around and at the same time have open parks in less than 100meters range to go for long walks.
Dogs need space and it's best for them to run and develop their muscle strength. I am happy and comfortable to take them to leash walks in nearby parks and have them interact with their friends. While it's fun to play with them, but it's equally important to get them to a routine of play, eat and sleep. I believe in working with the owners to understand their patterns and likes/dislikes so they can be taken care of well. In totality, I have about 3-4 years of experience living and loving pets, but that has changed my overall perspective towards life and humanity in general.
Bringing up pets, make you more human and loving as an individual.
I look forward to spending fun filled time and loving time with your baby.
