I love being a pet sitter and I've had a wonderful experience using Pawshake with my Mum (You may have seen her profile (Nicole J) as a dogsitting dynamic duo. We've been dog-sitting ever since my beautiful dog Roxie passed away in February of 2023, during that time we have loved looking after pups and have made so many fun connections with the doggies and their families. Recently we've had to relocate and adopted a Border Collie puppy of our own so we can no longer have puppies stay with us at our home... However, I have recently looked after two gorgeous shepards at their home and had the best time. If your puppies feel anxious leaving their own environment and/or feel more settled being with their furry brothers or sisters, I am more than happy to come to you. I am responsible, friendly and reliable and more than happy to do daily household jobs, so you come back to a house as tidy and homie as you left it. I also have a flexible schedule because I work casaully while I'm studying at University. In all my experience with doggos, ranging from anxious, excitable, energetic and cuddly, I have loved every second of it and would be honoured to look after your puppies/or kitties and your home.&nbsp;

Hi! I’m a reliable and caring 19-year-old with a genuine love for animals and a strong sense of responsibility. I’ve grown up around pets, including my own dog and cat, so I understand how important it is to keep them happy, safe, and comfortable while you’re away.

I offer a range of services including dog walking, home visits, and house sitting. Walks are typically 30–60 minutes depending on your dog’s energy levels, and I’m happy to adjust for younger, more active dogs or older pets who need a slower pace. During home visits, I make sure pets are fed, have fresh water, get playtime, and plenty of attention — not just a quick check-in.

For house sitting, pets are never left alone for long periods, and I stick closely to their normal routine so they feel secure and stress-free. For example, I’ve cared for a high-energy dog that required structured walks and play to stay calm, and I made sure to keep a consistent routine which helped them settle and feel comfortable while their owners were away. I’m also confident handling more anxious or shy pets, always taking a calm and patient approach to build trust.

My partner and I often work together as a team when pet sitting, which means your pet receives extra attention, care, and supervision. We are both calm, respectful, and dependable, and we’re happy to meet you together beforehand so you feel completely comfortable. If needed, I’m also available to work independently depending on your preference.

I currently work in Cameron Park from 6:00am to 2:30pm on weekdays (with occasional overtime). During this time, pets may be left alone for a few hours, however I ensure they are well-exercised and settled beforehand, and I return promptly after work to continue care. I am fully available on weekends and can provide more consistent supervision during that time.

I’m very organised and able to follow specific instructions, including feeding schedules, medication, and any special care requirements. I also provide regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.

Your pet’s wellbeing is my top priority, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I’d love the opportunity to care for your furry family member!

Hi, I’m Megan! I’m a huge animal lover and have been surrounded by pets all my life. Growing up I cared for dogs, cats, and rabbits, so looking after furry friends has always come naturally to me. I’ve also spent time working with horses, so I’m very comfortable around animals of all sizes and temperaments.

I’m based in Merewether and offer local dog walks, drop-in visits, and house/pet sitting, with a wider travel radius. I work full-time during the week, so I’m best suited to evening visits and have more flexibility on weekends.

Hello :) I'm Louisa, in my early 30s, and originally from Germany. After completing my Master's degree (Global Health) in Sweden, I moved to Australia with my partner about a year ago and have been able to gather ample of pet sitting experience.
I primarily offer pet care in the home of pet owners and therefore enjoy walking dogs in their familiar surroundings. This maintains routines, so the dogs feel safe and can enjoy their familiar paths and favourite places.
I lived with my own dog for over 13 years. She was a rescue and a beloved family member to me. Through her, I learned not only about the daily care but also the responsibility and patience required to provide an animal with a happy life.&nbsp;
During my travels, I was also able to gain valuable practical experience: In Romania, I worked at an animal shelter and a clinic for dogs and cats, in Spain, I helped at a dog rescue center, and in Malaysia, I supported a cat rescue. My duties there included administering medication, bottle feeding, and providing intensive care for sick and young animals.&nbsp;
In addition, I took on numerous pet-sitting assignments last year, including around 20 multi-day assignments in Australia – many of them for recurring clients.&nbsp;

I am an absolute lover of all animals and if I could afford to have all the animals I would! I've been a dog walker since a very young age. I have two of my own fur babies but because I'm partner is home with them I am able to stay and give some attention and love to someone else's fur babies on the nights that you maybe can't! I do have a day job but I have selected times and days working around that. I promise to love and care for your pets as if they are my own. I understand the stress of leaving animals with someone and rest assured I am amazing with them. I am 28 years of age, i can go on many walks with dogs or stay home and read and laze around with a cuddly cat. I love the beach so if your dogo loves the beach I am happy to take them. 

As a lifelong dog lover and proud owner myself, I know just how much our furry friends mean to us. My own dog has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and fun on every walk — and I bring that same care to every pup I look after. I come from the countryside and grew up surrounded by animals. They give me energy and joy, and I love spending time with them. I am French and have been living in Australia for a year. During this time, I worked at a kennel in Queensland and in a dingo rescue near Canberra, where I took care of dingoes for two months. Then I looked after and walked a Golden Retriever in Sydney for three months. I would love to be around dogs, cats, or other animals again, which is why I am looking to do pet sitting. I have a car, so I can easily come to your home and take your dog(s) to the beach or the park if you wish. I also have a cat waiting for me in France. So I am perfectly capable of looking after your cat(s). Having been around them since I was born, I am very familiar with their needs and how they communicate. I am a 32 year old Chilean 'young man' who has lived around dogs all life, however, I came to Australia and don't intend to have any pets yet, so I miss the feeling of walking, playing and running with them. I enjoy being around any kind of dogs, but have more experience with bigger size breeds. I also have the ability to go out with more than one if necessary. I usually have good chemistry with dogs I haven't met before and I feel like I understand their need really well. I love to go for a jog with them or just going for a chill walk so they can enjoy the outdoor and release some energy. I would go to any close Parks or walks along the Beach, depending on location. Preferable Newcastle East - Merewether Walks. 30min to 1 hour walk, depending on the dog's energy.
