Animals have always been my biggest passion, and if I could spend every day working with them, I absolutely would. I’ve been house and dog sitting for over five years and genuinely treat every pet as if they’re my own. Whether it’s long walks, cuddles on the couch, sticking to their routine or giving medications if needed, I always go the extra mile to make them feel safe, loved and comfortable while you’re away. I’m currently studying to become an Enrolled Nurse, so being responsible, compassionate and attentive to detail comes naturally to me. Hello there! My name is Anton Feehan, 30 years of age and live predominatly in Melbourne.
Let me give you a quick summary of how I got here. The idea of house sitting was first mentioned to me whilst backpacking the east coast of Australia, as a way to reduce travel costs. However, my first house sit was after my travels, back in Melbourne ( December 2019 ). It was a fantastic experience , a wonderful home with georgous pets which I was lucky enough to do again. Then the pandemic hit and house sitting was not an option for the foreseable future.
My house sitting journey picked up again in 2021, where I began to housesit for friends and neighbours. I love to travel and explore, it is a huge passion of mine. The pandemic was a tough time and i wanted to help those around me, to travel and regain their sense of joy and wonder. Throughout 2021 I secured regular house sits throughout the Melbourne region. I have become well known in my area to be a reliable and professional house sitter. Word of mouth has become a new way of gaining more house sitting opporunities. I have spent the majority of 2022, house sitting for friends, neighbours and those that have discovered my services.
I'm guessing you would like to know why I do this? To put it simply , I really enjoy it! House sitting compliments my personality and strengthens my values. I enjoy exploring and engaging in different lifestyles. From city to beach to the bush, I want to experience it all! i am a animal lover with 3 pets at the moment. i walk, groom, feed and play with my pets. I have mainly been around and cared for boxers so I am very comfortable with big dogs who have lots of energy and even the ones with behavioural issues! I’m a qualified dog trainer with 10+ years experience with training dogs and humans.
I was a vet nurse before I had children so have a lot of knowledge regarding animals health.
I own 3 dogs of my own a 14yo terrier x Roxy, an 18mo Bearded Collie Willow and a 4yo Spoodle Lily. All F and all love to play with dogs and I also own 6 chickens.
I have volunteered at the RSPCA working with both cats and dogs - assisting with cleaning out cages, playing and cuddling with the cats and dogs&nbsp;&nbsp;
I have fostered and rehabilitated both cats and dogs for a number of years
I absolutely love animals of all shapes and sizes.

Things I offer:

&nbsp;Dog Walks - a 30 or 45min walk - on lead from your property and will not take the dog off leash until I get to know them and only at an enclosed dog park if owner agrees. I'm available throughout the day.
Home visits - for cats, dogs, rabbits etc- I'm happy to check on your pets up to twice a day. Play with your pets, lots of cuddles as well as feed, give medication if needed, clean out litter trays etc Happy to water the plants and take bins in if needed as well. Regular updates and pics sent to clients of their pets.  I will always look after your pets as if they are my own
