Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Berwick VIC home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Berwick VIC.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Berwick VIC home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I’m a devoted pet owner who truly understands the love and care animals need because I provide it every day to my own pet. I work from home and live in a pet-friendly apartment, which creates a calm and secure environment—perfectly suited for small dogs.

My flexible schedule allows me to give pets plenty of attention, playtime, and affection throughout the day. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet in someone else’s care, so I aim to offer the same level of love, patience, and responsibility I would want for my own.

I enjoy creating a safe, happy space where pets can feel at ease while their owners are away. Becoming a pet sitter is a natural extension of my love for animals, and I’m excited to provide dependable, personalized care that gives owners peace of mind and keeps pets happy and comfortable.

My police check has been completed externally and can be provided upon request.

Hi, my name is Ellen. I am 23 years old and am currently working part time at a local cafe! I have been a huge animal lover my whole life, having had 4 dogs, which have been my absolute best friends. I have mainly been around and cared for boxers so I am very comfortable with big dogs who have lots of energy and even the ones with behavioural issues! I eventually want a career in animal care or vet nursing. Although I don't currently have any professional experience in dog sitting I have always been around dogs, big and small, I have looked after many family member and friends dogs while they're away. I would love to gain some professional experience by doing something I love, while being able to help any families who need it. I am keen on pet sitting, overnight and day visits and also dog walking!!

What is your motivation to be a pet sitter?Animals have always been a big part of my life and I can’t imagine a home without them. As a single mum and qualified teacher, I’m looking to supplement my income in a way that fits around family life and allows me to do something I truly love. Caring for animals has always been grounding and fulfilling for me. It brings a sense of calm, purpose and connection. Becoming a pet sitter feels like a natural extension of that, giving me the chance to support other pet owners while spending time with animals of all kinds.Do you have previous experience?I’ve had a lifelong passion for animal care and currently share my home with a dog, reptiles and insects. Over the years I’ve regularly cared for the pets of friends, family and neighbours, from tiny breeds to gentle giants. I take pride in providing safe, reliable and loving care that meets each pet’s individual needs. I understand the trust that comes with caring for someone’s furry or scaly family member and treat every animal as if they were my own. For safety and comfort I ask that all dogs joining me for leash walks are leash trained. I hold an up to date VIT registration and police check.
