"We were a week out from leaving on an interstate family holiday when our dog sitter (my parents) announced they were off to NZ the same time we would be away….they’d completely forgotten Mochi, our large exuberant Harrier Hound, was going to stay with them while we were away.
Enter Pawshake. Dale was the first and only person we contacted - obviously time was a factor in our case, and her responsiveness, prices, easy going nature, and the fact she knew what she was talking about (plus she said nice things about our doggie!), meant we didn’t need to contact anyone else. (We looked at a few profiles on Pawshake and the number of people, young people, saying they could handle large excitable dogs in their one bedroom “insert trendy inner suburb here” apartment was laughable).
Mochi isn’t yet 2 years old and he’s huge (40 kg and my height -165cm when he stands up on two legs), he is a hound, bred to think a certain way (which is often “I’m doing what I want regardless) and on top of all of this, Mochi just wants to be loved and be around you. He needs someone who is going to give him all the love in the world while not being a pushover.
Dale knew how to respond and interact with Mochi from the start. He came back to us happy, healthy and very tired (we struggle to tire him out so this was brilliant).
Dale has the space, set up, location and knowledge for you to be able to leave your pet with her and not be worried about whether or not you made the right dog sitter decision. She updated us daily with photos of Mochi- it was so heartwarming to see Mochi wasn’t just another dog at their house; he was very much a part of their family and in the mix of it all for the 6 days he was with them.
We will not hesitate to book Dale again. Thank you so much for taking care of our boy! "

"We recently had the pleasure of leaving our beloved Labrador Retriever, Russo, in the care of Ed and Ping for three weeks while we were on holiday, and we couldn't have asked for better carers. From the moment we met them, it was clear that Russo was in loving and capable hands. Ed and Ping treated Russo as if he were their own, providing top-notch care and attention to every detail of his routine.
Russo has a particular schedule, and they went out of their way to accommodate his needs, ensuring that he was comfortable and happy at all times. We were especially touched by the daily photos they sent us, which gave us peace of mind and allowed us to enjoy our holiday without any worries. Seeing Russo so well cared for truly made us feel at ease.
The love and affection Ed and Ping showed Russo was beyond what we could have hoped for. They took him on regular walks, played with him, and made him feel completely at home in their care. It's rare to find such genuinely good-hearted and caring individuals, and we feel blessed to have found them.
From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank Ed and Ping for making Russo feel so welcome and loved during our time away. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for dedicated, compassionate dog sitters. Thank you once again, Ed and Ping, for everything you did for Russo and for us!

She was able to take on board pet at very short notice. It was the Christmas holidays no less.
Pamela took great care of our dog while we were away. She was very responsive to messages and gave extra care. Showed us how to use the site and even cooked her too. We were very happy with the experience and did not have to worry at all.

"Anne-Maree and Adriaan took wonderful care of our dog Pika (6 month old Swedish Vallhund). It was the first time leaving her and Anne-Maree put our minds at ease from the first point of communication. After visiting the house we could see why people call it a dog retreat - there is so much space for the dogs and they really are treated like family. We were sent updates & photos throughout the evening and Pika was so tired the next day that we know she had the best time. The residential dog Tucker is very calm and welcoming of other dogs and it’s nice to know your pet will have a companion on-site too. Thank you for your care, we will definitely use your services again and cannot recommend you enough!!"

"It’s not easy to find a sitter who genuinely cares about what they do but it’s obvious when you meet Vivian that she genuinely cares about pets. Vivian looked after our miniature schnauzer and schnoodle over Easter break and was great with updates and photos. One of our dogs is blind and requires eye medication so isn’t the easiest dog to look after. Will definitely be using Vivian next time we need someone to look after our pets. Highly recommend. "

"We have used Lynn to look after our cavoodle Teddy on 2 separate occasions, both day care and an overnight stay.
Lynn is very welcoming and was happy to arrange a meet up before Teddys first stay so he was familiar with both Lynn, her family and her home.
Lynn was very friendly and attentive to Teddys needs taking him for a walk at a nearby reserve and having him accompany her on the school run so he was not left alone in an unfamiliar place.
Lynn was great with communication and kept us up to date with how Teddy was settling in, sending photos of his walk.
Lynn has plenty of space outside for exploring and has a nearby reserve for walks.
We are very happy with the care Lynn has shown and will look forward to using her again in the future."

"Kristine's dog minding services are as good as ever. It's been a few years since I've had to leave my little Georgie for a few days and I was so relieved that Kristine was available to look after her again. Kristine really treats the dogs like they're her own, with lots of cuddles, walks and even allows them on her bed. She keeps you updated with lots of photos, and Georgie seemed very happy and very looked after when I picked her up. Highly recommend!"

"This was a first time experience of leaving our pooch with a pet sitter & we are so glad GQ offered to look after our dog.
Within no time our pooch settled in and also had some companionship.
He was well looked after and we did have the peace of mind in knowing that.
