I enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality, routine, and little quirks—whether that’s an energetic dog who loves long walks or a more relaxed pet that simply enjoys company and attention. Becoming a pet sitter feels like a great fit for me because it allows me to do something I truly enjoy while giving owners peace of mind that their pets are in safe hands.

Dog walking is one of my favourite parts of pet sitting, as it keeps me active. I am dependable, calm, and attentive, and I take responsibility seriously. I treat every pet as if they were my own, ensuring they feel safe, cared for, and loved while you’re away. I can take you dogs for a 30min walk or more!

Hi, I'm Megan, I am 31 years old and I am currently living in Ipswich with my husband and our three budgies, Basil, Bleu, and Indigo. Currently I do not have any children. We did have a much- loved Miniature Bull Terrier named Amos who was our fur baby, and who sadly passed away.&nbsp; &nbsp;I have always loved animals since I can remember, enjoy seeing the different characteristics they all have, and the love and loyalty they give. I am currently working a casual job that some days it requires me to step out out of the house. I do have security cameras to keep an eye on your pet whilst away. I will work around my schedule so your pet gets all the attention and care they need. I decided to join Pawshake because I want to work with animals, and to help people out who need someone to look after their much beloved pet when they need it the most.&nbsp;Growing up I had fish, birds, dogs, and a duck. Being surrounded by animals my whole life has given me the joy, experience and love for them. I've had my own pets, and I've looked after family members pets also. I've looked after dogs, chickens, and birds.&nbsp;I like getting out and going for walks, whether it's along the beach, the bush, and or suburb area. Happy to cater to your animals needs and interests if they prefer to only walk a certain route or go to the dog park where we can throw the ball and have fun or sit and cuddle together.Our house is fully fenced with plenty of yard space for your animal to run around and investigate. We have a large doggy door so your pet can come in and out of the house. We have a low set house with no stairs which is perfect if you have an older animal.Your pets will be loved just like my own. I only take on one client (booking) at a time, so your pets have all of my attention. I would love to meet your fur babies and see if we are a good fit for each other. As a mum of five humans (ages 7 to 15) and a very proud mumma to two absolutely adored dogs, chaos, cuddles, and unconditional love are just part of my everyday life.  There’s almost always someone around ready to give your pet a pat, a cuddle, or a bit of extra attention.I know firsthand how hard it is to trust someone with your fur babies—I use a pet sitter myself, so I get it. You want someone who treats your pets like family, not just a job… and that’s exactly what I do. Expect belly rubs, chats, playtime, and plenty of “who’s a good boy/girl?!” moments.We offer overnight stays at our place, check-ins at yours, and day sitting during school holidays—flexible care to suit you and your pet’s needs.We also make sure your pets stay comfortable and safe in the Queensland heat—walks are done early in the morning or later in the evening when it’s cooler, and outdoor water bowls are refreshed at least twice a day (more often on those extra hot days).To help your pet feel right at home, dogs are welcome inside if they’re toilet trained, and we even have a doggy door they can use. They’re welcome to sleep inside or outside—whatever they’re used to. We also have a shaded patio area with a fan where they can relax and stay cool. And if your pet prefers some quiet time, we can easily create a calm, cosy space just for them.When we welcome a visiting pet into our home, we do our best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and accommodated as part of our family. We will feed visiting pets separately and, if needed, keep them separate from our own dogs to ensure everyone feels secure and relaxed. We do prefer dogs to be desexed.Before the first stay, I would love to arrange a meet-and-greet at your home so your fur baby can get to know me, and I can also learn more about them, their routine, and their surroundings.Pets can be supervised both inside and outside the home. We have cameras around and inside the house so we can keep an eye on them at all times, even if we are in another room.Our yard is fully fenced and includes a separate fenced-off area on the left-hand side, which is perfect for separate feeding, quiet time, or giving pets their own space if needed. Our fences are high and secure, and we also have dig-proof barriers in place near the smaller side gate for extra safety.Now, full honesty… I have a soft spot for about 90% of pets If it has eight legs, a stinger, or slithers… we might need to have a quick chat first Otherwise, your pets will be loved, spoiled, and cared for just like my own—because that’s exactly what they deserve.

I also have experience with giving medication to senior dogs.
I have two small dogs of my own, a playful jackapoo &amp; a chill sleepy chihuahua  
I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pets with someone new, so I am happy to send plenty of photos &amp; keep you updated throughout the day.
Because I do have my own little ones, I only take in fully vaccinated pets to keep everyone safe &amp; healthy.
