"We were a week out from leaving on an interstate family holiday when our dog sitter (my parents) announced they were off to NZ the same time we would be away….they’d completely forgotten Mochi, our large exuberant Harrier Hound, was going to stay with them while we were away.
Enter Pawshake. Dale was the first and only person we contacted - obviously time was a factor in our case, and her responsiveness, prices, easy going nature, and the fact she knew what she was talking about (plus she said nice things about our doggie!), meant we didn’t need to contact anyone else. (We looked at a few profiles on Pawshake and the number of people, young people, saying they could handle large excitable dogs in their one bedroom “insert trendy inner suburb here” apartment was laughable).
Mochi isn’t yet 2 years old and he’s huge (40 kg and my height -165cm when he stands up on two legs), he is a hound, bred to think a certain way (which is often “I’m doing what I want regardless) and on top of all of this, Mochi just wants to be loved and be around you. He needs someone who is going to give him all the love in the world while not being a pushover.
Dale knew how to respond and interact with Mochi from the start. He came back to us happy, healthy and very tired (we struggle to tire him out so this was brilliant).
Dale has the space, set up, location and knowledge for you to be able to leave your pet with her and not be worried about whether or not you made the right dog sitter decision. She updated us daily with photos of Mochi- it was so heartwarming to see Mochi wasn’t just another dog at their house; he was very much a part of their family and in the mix of it all for the 6 days he was with them.
We will not hesitate to book Dale again. Thank you so much for taking care of our boy! "

"WOW! Where do I begin...... From the very first meet and greet i knew Dee and Sasi were amazing people. On late notice and after multiple cancelations or people who agreed to look after our boy but tuned him down due to his size and breed who have no idea about dog sitting and management of large breeds it looked like our big cuddly bear "archie" the German shepherd would be left with no one to take care of him. Dee replied to my msgs and promptly let me know that our holiday dates were not a problem to host our Archie. We quickly organized a meet and greet for that week as we were flying out of the country in less than a week and stress levels were quiet high at the time.
Being conscious of our big boy's size and nature i was worried about the meet and greet as our Archie has set routines and a unique way of communicating to us when he needs something, and this was something i was worried about incase Archie would stress out during his stay but boy was i wrong. From the first moment we met both Dee and Sasi have the warmest and most loving nature towards animals and although archie was a bit stressed in a new environment they persisted with hugs, kisses, love and attention until he felt comfortable, and it was all uphill from there. Constant daily/weekly updates with photos and videos of our boy happy on his walks and playtime with other dogs (Dee and Sasi did an amazing job socializing our boy who is quite standoffish at first to other dogs but archie ended up being the talk of the town during his stay making friends with multiple dogs both big and small and also gently interacting with a newborn baby. He was so comfortable i could see the love and care he received purely through the photos Dee was sending me. Thank you so much Dee and Sasi for loving our boy like your own and we will be back for more visits now we have found our perfect doggy home away from home for our Archie.
I would highly recommend Dee and Sasi for any breed of dog as they know how to handle dogs and provide a healthy and balanced environment for both big and small dogs and this is proven with the regular visits of repeat customers who stayed throughout the time our Archie was a resident with them. THANK YOU Dee and Sasi !!!"

She was able to take on board pet at very short notice. It was the Christmas holidays no less.
Pamela took great care of our dog while we were away. She was very responsive to messages and gave extra care. Showed us how to use the site and even cooked her too. We were very happy with the experience and did not have to worry at all.

"I couldn't wish for a better dog sitter.
Juliette exceeded my expectations by a massive amount. Everything on her profile is 100% accurate, upon meeting Juliette it was abundantly clear that this lady loves dogs.
Juliette and her partner took such good care of my dog and even spoiled her. They did more than was required and kept up a steady stream of photos and videos while I was away on holiday.

"Great pet boarding service!! Keelie and her family were very generous and accepted our request a few days before our flight. She had communicated perfectly by sending regular and continuous updates throughout the day of our dog. Her family had taken our dog on daily walks as well as regularly playing with our dog. Our dog was very comfortable and loved during his stay, we will definitely leave our dog in her care worry-free during our next trip!!

"I am very pleased to have Leah pet sit my little baby, Muffie while I was overseas. She took good care of her and kept me updated on her daily health, routines and took lots of photos which made me and my husband worry free. Muffie has had a very good time at Leah's place where she had a dog to accompany her. They got along pretty well. Leah is a reliable pet sitter and I strongly strongly recommend her.
