For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Florey ACT for a doggy day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Florey ACT Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer doggy day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Florey ACT sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

Hi there, I'm Clarice! I’m a dedicated and experienced dog and cat sitter and have house sat for families with both cats and dogs in the past.
I have a toy cavoodle named Bentley. He's an excitable, super friendly boy who loves playing, whether it be with other humans or dogs.
I'll provide your pet with unlimited enrichment when they are in my care - Bentley will keep them occupied but I'm also able to provide lots of toys and playtime.
I'll provide you with photo updates of your pet and will constantly keep in touch with you throughout the pet sitting period. I have experience handling cats, dogs and pocket pets (rabbits and guinea pigs), and have experience volunteering as a kennel hand at the RSPCA for a number of years.
I live in a two storey townhouse with a medium size rear courtyard which is fully fenced. I also have a doggy door to the rear courtyard so pets will have unrestricted access at all times.
Due to my tertiary eduation and animal science background (Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience), I possess a wealth of knowledge to look after your dog, cat or any other pet.
I will not be offering pet sitting, but to host your pet at my house. Please ask if there's anything else I can accommodate for. On the weekends I am able to spend endless hours with your pet, to ensure they are comfortable and well looked after. My home visits average around 30 mins per visit but let me know if your pets require more.
I'm happy to work around you and your pet's needs, so don't hesitate to get in touch.

Hi
I'm Cary. I'd love to walk your dog or care for your pet overnight/s.
I have been lucky enough to share my life with many wonderful pets (mostly dogs and cats) and I know how special and precious they are. And also how critical it is to provide some social stimulation and exercise on a regular basis.
I have decades of experience walking and caring for dogs and cats, puppies and kittens and many more mature fury family members. But I'm new to Pawshake.
I am recently retired and have plenty of time to walk or look after your pet.
I love to stay active so would welcome some company on a walk (or slow jog). I can meet your dog's preference for a long walk or more of a short walk with lots of time for sniffing, or just meet and play in the backyard or park.
Our dog (a 15 year old jug), Finn, passed away a year and I miss him and the time we enjoyed exploring our neighbourhood or just spending time together.
I love all size dogs and very happy to pet sit cats too.
If it's overnight, I'm very happy to water the garden and pot plants, take out the bins, keep your house tidy and secure, and keep your pet/s company and feeling safe and secure.
I live in central Canberra, but happy to pet sit anywhere.
I'm happy for one of, ad hoc or semi regular walks....whatever works for you and your dog/s.
I'd love to meet you and your fury friend and discuss your needs and how I can help.
Have a great day

I am Canberra born and bred. I am a retired senior public servant with more than 40 years experience.
I was a cat owner for more than 30 years, often with two or three cats, most of which were rescue cats. I looked after and cared for them through everything including taking one to Sydney for cancer treatment which resulted in having an eye removed. I am currently without one but am very experienced in dealing with cats.
For a number of years I was a volunteer dog walker at the pound which, at times, was challenging both physically and emotionally. I walked up to six different dogs on a Saturday afternoon so was very committed. Each walk was about 30 minutes. In addition, I had to sit with a number of dogs in their cages to build up their confidence before taking them for a walk
I am a very caring and compassionate person and would treat your pet with with as much care as if it was my own. I would welcome the opportunity to look after your pooch or pussy cat while you are away. My main interest is visiting your pet in your home while you are away and rest assured they will be in safe hands. And I would be more than happy to feed your pet but also spend time petting them and playing with them.
On a number of occasions I have had to administer oral medication to my own cats.
I would ensure that I send you a daily update or pics so that you know that they are getting amazing care.
I look forward to looking after your fur baby.

Hi! We’re Daniela and Tim, two animal lovers who would be delighted to look after your furry family member. We’re 41 and 38, live together in a quiet, comfortable home, and don’t have children. Our cat, Petrie, is 8 years old and quite simply our baby. She is incredibly gentle, loving and relaxed around both people and other pets, so she’s very happy to share her space.I work in IT and have a flexible schedule, including the option to work from home, which means I can be around and give your pet plenty of company and attention. Tim is a teacher and works at school until around 3pm, so between the two of us there can always be someone around for your pet. We’re looking to do pet sitting because we genuinely love animals and would enjoy having more furry friends in our lives. Your pet would be treated as part of our family, with lots of cuddles, playtime, attention and, of course, respect for their individual personality. Our place gets a lovely view of birds all day, if your fur baby is a cat, will be very happy. We also live 5 min walk from Belconnen park (John Knight park) for plenty of nature walks for your dog. We understand that leaving your pet with someone else can be stressful, so we’re happy to follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medication if needed, and plenty of updates and photos so you can relax knowing they’re happy and well looked after. We’d love to meet you and your pet beforehand to make sure everyone feels comfortable. We’re particularly interested in looking after cats and small/medium dogs, but we’re happy to chat about your pet and their needs.
Your pet’s comfort, happiness and safety will always come first.

Hi there! I’m Grace, 37, and I’d love to help look after your furry family members.
I’ve been working as a carer in the ACT for over 5 years, supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds, including some of our most vulnerable and disadvantaged members of the community. Caring, patience, responsibility and attention to detail are a big part of what I do every day.
As a pet mum myself, I’m now extending that same care to our lovely pets! I understand how important it is to leave your pets with someone you can genuinely trust. Every pet has their own personality, routines and little quirks, and I’m very happy to follow your instructions so they feel comfortable and secure in their own home.
For dogs, I particularly enjoy long walks and outdoor time. I’m happy to tailor walks to your dog’s age, energy level and temperament — whether that means a gentle 20–30 minute stroll or a longer, more active walk. I’m also comfortable with dogs who are nervous, excitable or need a little extra patience and space.
For cats and other pets, I’m happy to follow their usual routines, including feeding, fresh water, playtime, cuddles (when invited!), litter care and keeping their environment clean and comfortable.
As part of my own pet-mum journey, I’ve also gained experience with after-surgery care and caring for pets recovering from injuries. I understand the importance of following care instructions carefully, monitoring changes in behaviour and letting owners know promptly if something doesn’t seem right.
I’m comfortable caring for multiple pets at once and will make sure each one receives individual attention. In an unexpected or emergency situation, I’ll stay calm, follow your instructions and contact you promptly. If veterinary attention is needed, I’m happy to assist according to your preferred emergency plan.
Communication is very important to me. Before a visit, I’d love to know about your pet’s personality, routine, medications, triggers, favourite things and anything else that will help me care for them properly. I’m also happy to send updates and photos during my visit, so you can relax knowing they’re safe, comfortable and well cared for.
I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets and hopefully become someone they’re excited to see!
See your pet soon! ️

Hello, my name is Heidi, and I am 25years old. Throughout my life, I have had the privilege of growing up with dogs, which has fostered my deep love and passion for animals. I am an experienced and dedicated pet sitter, committed to providing a safe, loving, and happy environment for pets in my care.
Currently, I work full-time as a Family Assistant/Estate Assistant—a role I was fortunate to receive through a family I met while pet sitting for their dogs. As part of my job, I get to spend my days with their pets, which brings me so much joy. My love for animals is at the heart of everything I do, and I am known for being a compassionate and attentive caretaker.
I have two fur babies of my own - full breed chihuahua, Bambi and chihuahua cross, Bibble. Bambi is a sassy little girl and Bibble is cuddle bear but very frightened of life due to her being a rescue.
As a vegetarian with a strong passion for animals and fitness, I love spending time outdoors—especially on walks, which I’m sure your pet will enjoy too. Over the years, I’ve had a variety of pets, giving me broad experience in caring for animals of all kinds.
I now offer pet sitting services from my own home in Denman Prospect. While I do live in an apartment, I understand this may be something you’d like to consider—so I’m more than happy to arrange a meet-and-greet at my place beforehand. I also continue to offer pet sitting in clients’ homes if that’s your preference.
I look forward to the opportunity to care for your pet!
Best regards,
Heidi
