I currently have 3 fur baby's at home. 2 cats (Tikka and Chickpea) and a medium sized dog (Dusty). As someone who grew up on acreage I have had a wide range of pets including farm animals (chooks, ducks, horses and goats), birds (cockatiels, conures, finches and quail), dogs (kelpie, border collies, heelers, corgis and staffies), cats and fish.I also have experience pet sitting reptiles such as bearded dragons and pythons and pet sitting smaller pets such as Guinea pigs.I volunteered with the RSPCA as a foster carer and as a part of this I have undertaken multiple animal care courses. I love all animals no matter what shape or size and promise to do everything I can to make your pet feel loved and comfortable while you are away.Home visits include:Visits will be a minimum of 30 minutes (depending on animal type)Feeding and ensuring they have clean fresh water.Play time and cuddles, litter scooping and clean up, any specific requests (eg. Hi there my name is Michelle, and I love animals...especially dogs!
My husband and I just moved to Australia recently and can't wait to get involved with some doggies here!
I grew up with a number of pets including a dog, who was called Ginger, a hampster, and other various animals along the way (The fish was the least interactive pet- much prefered the dog!).
My parents often took in foster dogs and puppies, so I was constantly around dogs. I have worked for other platfrom, a Canadian company that offers dog walking and dog sitting. I have taken care of many breeds from labs, dauschounds, terriers, greyhounds, pointers, doodles, etc! The doodles/bernadoodles are my fav, they just have such a lovely disposition and seem to get along with everyone. I have my own lovely doodle named Nello- though he's more of a rug/ teddy bear than a dog.
Anyway, love to give a dog some good exercise- with the odd treat. Positive behaviour reinforcement!
I am able to do 30-60 minutes for a walk. If it is a home visit between 1-3 hours. Would prefer to have 1 dog at once, or 2 dogs from the same home is also ok.
Happy to run with the dog, or go for a long scenic walk, or even a frisbee toss!
I believe a dog that is well exercised, and shown affection is the happiest kind of dog (and usually better behaved!)
